Have to chime in that I first witnessed the greatness of Fishbone back in the MID- 80s. One of the greatest bands EVER !!!! Never considered the color of skin only what amazingly talented and cool dudes. An original lineup tour would surely be a reason to celebrate ! PEACE !!!!
@MrDiscordinated I don't know if I agree with that I mean most of the biggest recording artists now are black, so I don't think its a colour issue, I just don't think Fishbone are as commercial as the chillis. I'm not hatin' either, I saw Fishbone a few times in the late 80's early 90's - probably the best live act I've ever seen.
Age has nothing to do with it. They are just not as good a band as they used to be because of so much band member turn over. a reunion needs to happen!
@dcarr70 you obviously haven't been listening. Go to a show or listen to the last album they put out. They're just as on top of their game as ever, even more so, imo. Definitely kickin' harder than any of their contemporaries, of those that are even still around, that is.
afroman. i know what you're getting at. Fishbone is for ALL people. y comment was wrong also. White made up the majority of Fishbone's audience. For anyone missing out, they'll play the Atlas supper club in Venice, CA on Feb. 5th. I'll be there
well they are older, you will be a shell of yourself when you are their age, the thing is, it just shows how crazier they were back in the day cause they are still awesome now
too bad there's no one in the corwd to say "i'm black and i'm proud too". 1988 white folks just didn't get fishbone. Only when "truth of my suroundings" and "give a monkley a brain..." did they start to notice
ummm,im not sure if you are right at all, i think the majority at their shows since the beginning has been white people, but i think their music isn't racial at all, anyone can like them
I loved Fishbone when they were Fishbone. Angello and Norwood should just call it something else now. It's almost as if they forgot they ever recorded "Truth and Soul" and "Reality of My Surroundings", two amazing albums. Anybody see that atrocity, "Let Them Hoes Fight"? Unbelievable! Fishbone need to literally Give It Up, I hate to say.
WHAT?!?!?!? No love... First of all they still play ALOT of songs from back then live for the old school fans to see... 2nd of all the new songs are just as good in their own way...
great footage and all, but i'm afraid that i've never heard then play this groove. too bad they don't get down like this anymore.... could it have something to do with Dirty leaving? hmmm.... i love all their ska shit, but now it's like almost all they do these days. i've loved them more for playing different styles WELL. ska, funk, punk, metal, in between ~ it didn't matter, it was just tha 'Bone! fishbone WAS red hot.... oh whale, at least Angelo still is!

Olaf...I have seen both versions of the band...this one pales in comparison to the 88-93 version...many fans/bands agree

Fishbone rocked back in the day...they are a mere shell of themselves now!
Word on the street is there will be a reunion of original members!! I hope this is the case.

Most of the crowds that I saw at Fishbone shows in the late 80s were predominantly white
