  • how do you decompose functions

  • when the teacher shows the composition, she should mention that the "x" in the f(x) equation should be ignored when writing down the f(g(x)), so like terms are not combined. this is trivial but it helps. i have only a junior high school level of math education so it took me a few minutes to figure out that you do not combine like terms in composition.
