  • ir needs weapons and armor.... i kondo make a full-size humanoid....

  • OMG that's cool!

  • Comment removed

  • make it do moon walk

  • The robot is kind of like ASIMO although ASIMO moves more fluently.

  • Hi, I love to see these Robots and all the work that is done at the backstage just to give some kind of life to these machines, and I enjoyed a lot with this demo, Congratulations. :)

where is actually living this robot?? in wich lab??

  • Omg, if you fast forward the beginning of the video, you can make him glid forward and also do the moonwalk haha cool.

  • Can it get up after a football tackle?

  • mini mosca XD

  • @MyHitmanSide LOL XD

  • Yeah I can do that to... oh right I forgot it is imitating us

  • Kinda has a nice beat to it.

  • is this one a variant of Asimo by Honda?

  • wow, this is impressive!

  • this looks primitive and clunky compared to petman

    /watch?v=67CUudkjEG4

  • It's still a bit slow, though...And we've yet to see how far advanced its AI is.

  • This is a very fluid walk! GREAT!

  • So Human created robots in his image..

  • Judgement day is right around the corner...

  • Are you serious? These robots still require a human with a remote control to do anything useful. We're miles from self-aware, thinking humanoids.

  • we already have working un-manned robotic drones fighting in wars around the world.

  • asimo is naked

  • Match, the mechanics of making it walk at all are HIGHLY dependent on the materials used to make the joints flex. Movement is also LIMITED by those same materials. Believe me when I say that you're looking at the best efforts of well schooled robotics engineers who have done the best they can with limited resources and money.

  • cerobot fait beaucoup de mouvement mais rien d'utile c'est dommage !!

  • This is a beautiful robot. He exceeds ASIMO because he has individual finger movement, whereas ASIMO moves his fingers together.

  • Except that ASIMO can run at 6km/h and HUBO cannot. :/

  • Quite right...point taken :o)

  • and ASIMO can walk up and down stairs, and also everything els this robot does

  • I accept these comments, but must point out that ASIMO took over a decade of developement with top scientists, several prototypes and a bankroll of many millions. HUBO did not ... ;o)

  • langweilig

  • Asimo CAN give you a thumbs up though xD (He can Move his thumb independently now)

  • this Korean made Robot. old version.

  • And its quite cool! I wonder why don`t people give you guys credit in the field of robotics, I just got a korean Bioloid kit and its great!

  • NOISYYYYYY

  • COOL but is the esqueleton of ASIMO.

    LOVEE ASIMO!!!

  • asimo? this is asimo

  • old asimo.

  • THat's asimo

  • no, its not. It's the earlier version of Albert HUBO.

  • Kind of looks like a Transformer (I mean the old cartoon series).

  • lol the way he walks reminds me of an old guy somehow

  • asimo is new model of KHR-2.

    asimo base on it.

  • no KHR made in korea Robot

  • It seems like Asimo.....?

  • cool but creepy

  • it walks using ZMP strategy....not bad, but outdated.

It could never take longer steps or move faster if it keeps using ZMP stability...for better ideas, look at Limit Cycle Walking robots and other ideas, they have much less budget and have more innovative ideas

  • KHR-1 -> KHR-2 -> HUBO

    KOREA

KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology)

  • can this thing take a begger step?

    this doesnt seem very effient.

  • Well incase u didnt pay attention in school. Humans go something called Joints.. ROBOTS DONT. Asswipe

  • the robot has joints otherwise it wouldnt be walking

  • In case you may have not noticed, that's about Asimo's head right there.

  • KHR...foolish mortals...don't you get it.

    Kill...

    Humans...

    Robot

We are all doomed. Seriously, I dunknow what he gott-o Mr. Robotto?

Actually, the pnumatics and self contained power source on that thing are kinda neat in an I-know-I'm-a-total-geek sort of way.

    xSUBn({-_-})

  • OMG!! CAN YOU TEACH HOW TO DO THAT?!?!?(Jk)

WELL..nice tecnology...maybe..the world FUTURE of the word WILL be like the movie I ROBOT XD!!! MY DREAM IS LEARN HOW TO DO THAT!!!

  • 3:13, looks like he's really gotta piss and someone's taunting him with the keys to the bathroom....

  • thats fucking awsome

  • why do all humanoid robots rely on fucking rotary actuation? there will probably NEVER be a rotary-actuated robot that can really move like a human.

humans use primarily gravity and momentum to walk. rotary actuators are static. it'll never work the way it needs to.

  • i agree with u... it cant be smooth and efficient enough like this...

i guess... hydraulics might improve the efficiency ^.-

    (nice video anyway)

  • hwud, check out pneumatic muscles. while they're far from perfect, they're closer in function to the way biomechanical movement happens.

  • well, first off we're alive and and able to think. robots like this one are programmed. they have no free will. second, we have bones and muscles, skin and tissues that can bend and do other things that no robot could ever do. and third, our brain controls all of this movement, and can remember those moves. our brain is at least 100 times as fast and strong as a super-computer, even if we only consciously use 13% of it.

  • Sakarian Outcast, I'll try to cover as much as I can about what you wrote.

    1. 'alive' and 'think' are both ambiguous terms that scientists still argue over to this day.

    2. like any material, bones and tissues can be simulated. additionally, lots of OTHER materials bend and do other things - including things bone and muscle can not.

  • 3. a robotic arm can remember movements more effectively and precisely than you can. that's why they build cars.

    4. we do not only use 13% of our brain, that is a blatant myth. we use all of our brains, just at different times (like a circuit board). that's how it works. if you were to use all of your brain simultaneously, it would be called a seizure. it wouldn't make you any smarter, either.

  • what the hell was that any way.why not just dress a humin in a robot suit.

  • That aint no Kondo KHR!

  • the worlds best servent

  • awesome robot i wonder what future will be like

cocksuckers of youtube dont post harsh comments thats quiete difficult to build.. try to encourage not discourage robophiles

  • im pretty sure that already have those tihngs, governments keep that kinda stuff very TOP SECRET!

  • Contrary to popular belief, governments can't usually come up with high technology originally and independently of civilian marketing institutions. Of course DARPA puts out contracts for robotic vehicles and the like, but they do it with universities. That's where the real work gets done. Obviously there are classified components to many things, but by and large, what you see on Youtube is about the limit of current robotic technology that is actually up and running.

  • if thats true, then that sucks, cause i really wish our governments has robots like the ones in i,robot.

  • They will. Give it some time.

  • yup i know, im a very patient person

  • It will just be a piece of protocol. Doing nothing but following lines of programmed protocols. Robots can't live and can't feel. Never.

  • people need to shut the hell up with all this wot useful things can it do shit, u need to go through these stages in order to get to the point where u can make something that can do more practical jobs, its called progress people.

  • Ok. What are the applications? It would seem that you are controlling the thing from remote controll.

  • - RobocOP! -

  • More like ADAM than Robocop...

  • wtf does it do??? walk, and move its arms

  • can it love?

  • Thats nice.. but can it get me a beer and better reception on my tv :) Very cool!

  • can it hug?

  • cool

  • a struting robot.

  • If it had balance sensors, I might've been amazed. That robot just runs at programs commenced by remote...

  • what was he doin at the end? a "i dont know" face, or "haha i rule the world?"

  • Look it can do the moon walk, look out micheal jacson.

  • i want to put a robot in my body!!!!!!!! that would be sweet if that were possible.

  • Heh, all it needs now is to be fitted with a penis and a can of beer...

  • asimo develop periods 20years but hubo is only 2 years.

  • It would've been cool if it crushed that cup... then the skull of its maker. :)

  • Is it me or does this look like the early prototypes for the asimo series? it hasa very similar body and head structure

  • it's similar, because it's a sad copy this is korean

  • Yeah, but can he cure aidz?

  • But he is cooler

  • Cool. 10 more years from now and we can fit this baby

with any chip or program to serve a role from house maid

    to counter terrorism. :)

  • can he talk?

  • Asimo's hand articulation isn't that good. There's great potential for KHR...as there is for Asimo too. Eventually we'll get there, we meaning humans and bots. I can only dream.

  • asimo is alot better

  • thats asimo (old generation)

  • Uhh, no its not Korean Humanoid Robot-2 Asimo was Japanese. Funded, and developed by Honda mostly,..
