Ok. I loved SWV but they have nothing on EV. EV vocally as a group is superior! Terri Ellis alone has a 5 octave range putting her near or up there with M. Ripperton & M. Carey.They've won more awards than any girl group too, especially MTV awards. Finally, they look better even after 20 years! Coco carried SWV. They all can sing but EV SANGS! Trying to compare SWV to EV is the most crackish thing I've heard since Whitney called Bobby the King of R&B. Nuff said.

@KakkoiGuy1 lol! i laugh at your last sentence. i'm in agreement w/ you, but, dawn's range is higher than terry's. as for coko, the only reason coko carried swv was due to recording the first album. there were songswhere lelee was on lead. for whatever reason, she did not feel comfortable, so they switched up and put coko upfront. and that's when they decided to make her the lead of the group. (the ones making decisions)

EnVogue never lost it. EnVogue was at the height of the careers when music industry politics messed up what potentially could have been one of the biggest acts in music history. There wasn't any female group that had 4 lead singers. They made it possible for SWV, Destiny Child, TLC, Spice Girls to exist. Because the girl group genre was dead.  The best thing about their situation is that they are people that want to see them, and they have enough great music to satisfy them.

Thanks for the comment. I couldn't believe it either. In the history orf girl groups 4 of the top ten girl groups are african american, No. 2-Destiny Child, No.3 TLC No.6 EnVogue, and No.9 SWv. I agree with you but from a historical standpoint they did help groups like destiny child to be successful. They weren't one of my favorite group but SWV had a large following. So I had to give credit where it was due.

I agree with you but the topic is about Envogue. At the times that SWV, EnVogue, and TLC came out there were any black female groups that had our atttention. This genre was dead, groups like the Supremes, Labelles, Marvellettes, and the Emotion was of another era that started the whole female group genre. After the Emotion came out in the 70's record labels were looking female group because they were profitable. That why when EnVogue came out they reenergized this genre.

They sound awesome, they still have it!Dawn is not struggling, she is just toning down her performance, the vocal technicality in this song is tricky. If they sung the full version of the song like they did in other recent performances she wouldn't of held back like this. But we must bare in mind its a high profile event with critical eyes, and it's a medley! I pray EnVogue don't seek other means to gain fame like other contemporary sellouts of today i.e. etc Rihanna, Beyonce etc.

Think back to your favorite song and if its a up tempo song you'll be reminded of the video or a time it was performed and you'll find yourself doing the routine. The routine is very much apart of the song just like the lyrics. So I don't believe artists would ever change the routine of their most popular songs.

They did the same choreography and routine they have been doing since the 90s. Nostalgia gets old. They should have sang some spirituals in four part harmony or revamped the medley by adding in some contemporary beats and doing more with the songs they have been singing the same way forever.

After Cindy's part was over it went downhill. Dawn was off and Maxine was terrible.
