New Edition was always out of breath when they performed. Groups and solo artist didn't train physically for the endurance of a Janet, Michael or even Bruce Springstein's 3 hour non-stop concerts, back then... Still, Ralph was cooler and smoother than most of his day, while being humble in his own way. Thanks for posting shakeshakeshake2008.

I like this song, but Ralph Tresvant sounds AWFUL in this performance. Well, at least he was cool while cleaning up that almost-slip on the stairs.

This is probably Ralph's worse performance vocally..and im not a hater cuz he's one of my fave singers of all time..it was almost like he was out of breath.

I'm a big New Edition fan also and totally agree with you. The problem with Ralph T is that he smokes. This is particularly a problem when your natural tone is falsetto as Ralph's is. In fact, during the 2009 BET Awards Performance by NE, I was also disappointed with Ralph's vocal performance and it's due to the same reason. This, of course, is an observation not a criticism of RT.

But u know what whats funny I said the same thing...but if u check the videos of the "summit tour" from late last year /early this year with Bobby ,Johnny and Ralph ..he actually sounded great!...maybe it was just a bad night ..last mine rehearsals etc..who knows??
