So it isn't disrespectful, what's disrespectful is that they're building the other 3 towers that doesn't by any mean pay tribute to the site and has no reason for being there! like takahashiwongwong said, 93% of the people which that including the 9/11 families wanted the Twins built over 7% of people who propose the Freedom Tower!

@platinum476 when a tragedy like this happens simply rebuilding the same towers over again would be like saying the attack never happened, I don't care if they have footprints or not, still it would be traumatic not triumphant to see them again. I don't know where he got this 93% stat everything I've read says it's actually about 50% like and 50% don't. But the footprint waterfalls are a huge success and I can't wait to go to the site when it's finished

@JHulse29 "As if nothing ever happened" or "the attack never happened", is a popular saying that to you guys that's actually not true! You see, We have the memorial with the victims names etched on the granite on the outer rim of the Twin Towers footprints to pay tribute to them! The Twin Towers II right behind or along side with the Original Towers footprints, for them to pay tribute to Two tall structures the once graced the NYC skyline and I find nothing wrong with that!

@JHulse29 Now that statistic you had mentioned is actually true! When Ken Gradner designed and reveiled the Newly remade Twin Towers, 93% of New Yorkers especially the 9/11 families wanted his proposed plan! Over the 7% of people who chosed the Freedom Tower plan! Now I like the Freedom Tower and The new WTC 7, but those last three towers just doesn't cut it, and it's a wasted to have them built there! All we wanted was just Two Towers, either that to have the Twin Towers II or Twin Freedom-

@platinum476 Totally agree about those other 3 towers, apparently when you come into Manhattan from the Brooklyn Bridge you won't be able to see the F Tower, it's obscured by that sloping roof monstrosity! Disrespectful of the spirit of the original site and a badly missed opportunity imho.

@noleadmons the sloping roof tower is a tribute to the memorial, the angle of the roof points directly down to the reflecting pools at street level

@JHulse29 Towers that woulda been more respectable in paying tribute to the site! I don't care if the PA own that land or as well Larry Silvertein too! If I was President or CEO of Port Authority, I wouldn't hesitate to listen to my American people and have a Newly rebuilt Twin Towers along side with the memorial! But what can we do, well just see what happens in the upcoming years whether they chose to have the Twin Towers rebuilt or not! It could happen, we just don't know yet!
