I thought the point of this story, especially the ending was about how society can condition us out of experiencing something beautiful. We are indoctrinated with so many beliefs that cause us to feel 'not normal' . Elle McPherson's character was just that...afraid to break away from what society would have us beleive is 'normal' and be happy. I thought at that level it was an honest portrayal of what bi curious women have to face while exploring their sexuality.
At least she was honest - some people just cannot go through the "lesbian" life. It happens too often. It is so sad to see this happen. Some women just choose men because it's "easier". To me, that's selling yourself short.
if it weren't for that line at the very end by the psychiatrist, that ending would have been the most disappointing thing ever....... but why didn't the psychiatrist do her job and tell her that she was making a mistake?!?!?!

I enjoyed this movie majorly beacause of the last lines the psychologist had to say. That this was just a person that was running from all emotional relationships and that someday she would not be able to. I could honestly fully relate to this story. I broke up with the first woman I ever cared about because of the views of my friend as well as my ex. And I have regreted it ever since. However, I now know that I can't turn around and return to my old life. I am what I am and I love who I love.

Yeah going against the grain can be hard, and downright terrifying, But just following the flow is far more painful since you inevitably loose control. i liked the ending it summed up really good what she was talking about thrue out the whole movie, her fear and the urge to try to live and let go for a while. it would have been cute if they stayed together but it would ruing the movies purpose and getting out the whole message behind their affair. good ending, gave me lots to think about afterwards.
Ok, well I liked the movie. It was about growth and growing into yourself. sort of. What I found a bit unappealing was that they (esspecially Lauren) treated the whole thing as a kind of exploration or adventure. But that it was meant to be fleeting. Like a trip, then she 'came home' and went back to normal life. It was like: 'Wow. I did something other people didn't do,it was daring and exciting and that was different.' just like a trip, that you may or may not do again.
I was really enjoying this movie until this incredibly stupid ending:( So that's it they just break up like that WOW and after it seemed like there was really something there:(

I personally find it very engenious of writer and director Lee Rose to have composed the story the way she did. Life and living is not simple, but complex. This story makes you think, and the way it ended is compatible with just any continuation you would like to imagine.

i dont like the ending..maybe bcos i want it to end well didnt expect the break up.. theres nothing wrong, nothing stoping them just laurens weaknesses thats why it ended..hmm well we cant blame her in reality women tend do rush decisions if this is real life she could always go back to casey and work things out.

i loved the movie, it was awesomw. ending sucked huh, but g8 love making scenes,, that was so romantic n it made me realize that love can happen to anyone with anyone n anywhere , it doesnto matter who the person is.. god has chosen mr or mrs right for everyone.. thatsy those gals out of nowhere ran into each other, cuz it was in there destiny. lovely

I liked the movie....Up until the stupid reason for breaking up. The world will judge you, Put you under a microscope, no matter what you are, Gay, Bi or Straight. Yeah going against the grain can be hard, and downright terrifying, But just following the flow is far more painful since you inevitably loose control. You don't need to be gay to go against the grain, Just happy.

actually, she's not homophobic.. she's pointing out that the patient had an enjoyful experience, but had to end it because people were judging her, and she was also judging herself. when she said there's no going back now, i think she meant that laura has already taken a step, but even after breaking up with that girl, she's already made a change from what she used to be..

i liked the ending it summed up really good what she was talking about thrue out the whole movie, her fear and the urge to try to live and let go for a while. it would have been cute if they stayed together but it would ruing the movies purpose and getting out the whole message behind their affair. good ending, gave me lots to think about afterwards.

Ok, well I liked the movie. It was about growth and growing into yourself. sort of. What I found a bit unappealing was that they (esspecially Lauren) treated the whole thing as a kind of exploration or adventure. But that it was meant to be fleeting. Like a trip, then she 'came home' and went back to normal life. It was like: 'Wow. I did something other people didn't do,it was daring and exciting and that was different.' just like a trip, that you may or may not do again.

Don't worry too much about it! The ending is not The End.
I personally find it very engenious of writer and director Lee Rose to have composed the story the way she did. Life and living is not simple, but complex. This story makes you think, and the way it ended is compatible with just any continuation you would like to imagine.

You see I am currently married with a baby. And I must say that I'm not very happy because I've known I was a lesbian since I was 13 but I tried to lead what some would call a normal life and now I'm just living a lie. I'm just glad that I get to watch lgbt films because that is the only way I have of connecting with the lesbian way of life. It is really the only thing that is giving me something to dream about.

Me too, it ended like they never had anything between them! Did lauren really think that a relationship with a man wouldn't have the same problems as she had with a woman? iIt was like she'd never had a relationship with anyone. And she kept saying, "I'm not a lesbian" I don't get it, why to make so big deal about it?? Phew. Another movie with a relationship ending just like that is Goldfish Memory. It's a great movie, but I didn't like how the two women broke up. Sorry for complaining..
