I have been on the fence about getting polarized 3D glasses (like nvidia 3dvision) for some games playing but since the surge of these videos I'm reconsidering again.

I can see well with just parallel stereo vision modes and I really appreciate the depth of perception it adds.

My question is; when using polarized glasses is the experience and depth perception they give equally as good (or better) than parallel / free-viewing experiences, for anyone who has experience with both?

@skateNappreciate its a trainable skill, so over time it is easier. If it's taking all your ability to hold the fused image that will cause strain, making the image smaller or moving further from the screen will keep you from being at the edge of your limits where the strain is the hardest and allow you to settle in and relax.. I could probably watch an hour non-stop without any real issues. Once you're able to blink normally without losing the fused image, it's a sign you're getting better.

RealD 3D glasses require specialized displays that have different picture formats for transmission between the computer and the display. There is no RealD 3D mode because some of these displays use the cross-eyed mode, some of these displays use the line interleave modes, and some of these displays cannot work in a browser and require the video to be played in a specialized software.

Finally because normal displays cannot support these glasses at all.

This ViewSonic V3D241WM-LED is the first 3D monitor to be announced as compatible with AMD HD3D, watch out it uses wired glasses, compatibility with wireless and software compatibility are unknown at the moment, nobody tested it yet, if you buy it you will be among the firsts users to try it.

iZ3D's video player and Stereoscopic player are two different apps.

Use Stereoscopic player, it supports everything.

iZ3D's video player is old, iZ3D announced a big update was coming soon.

@mikeeey1337 Viewing via RealD glasses is not possible with any current screen technology due to the nature of how it works (circular polarization). This is a special way of projecting the light waves via a projector onto a suitable silver screen. Current 3D TV's handle the left/right seperate via either fast flicking (high speed shutter) or using a special lens film over the screen itself to project the light to the eyes individually (not commercially available yet).

I record my videos using a TV capture card and by setting up the iZ3D driver to output the left and right eye views side by side.

This video was recorded with my old SD composite capture card but my new videos are done with a new HD capture card, check my profile for more videos.

The iZ3D driver transforms into 3D most games that were not designed for it. It is a PC software only.

Xbox360 is capable of running games in 3D but the games must be specifically made for it such as Avatar the game for example. Assassin's Creed was not designed for 3D and cannot run in 3D on consoles unless Ubisoft releases a patch (it won't happen due to the graphics performance required to run games in 3D)

I think crossed eye is the best (not without pain) method, no bullSh*ty glasses, no blinking, no shity deviant colors.

YPKProductions, this is normal that you see nothing, those cinema polarized glasses need an infrared signal to toggle each eye at ~120Hz.
