  • Sounds like they might want to put their own fire out first!* lol**

  • This video was LAME...

  • lmao all the reason not to buy american hahahaha! sounded like gun shots there!

  • I have a picture of my Dad at the wheel of an engine just like this one,,back in the early 30's

  • Hi eks, please can give me an address where to purchase one of these antique steam fighting pumps?Best regards,Ferdinando from Italy

  • @ferdinando2110 Hi, Ferdinando. Try doing a search on ebay motors. com If nothing try again each week..

  • And that's probably how it was back in those days, I thought the truck might break down. When I was in the fire dept 1974 we had a 1946 Mack pumper that had the engine catch fire but we put it out. we called in to dispatch "signal 14 our truck".we were responding to a brush fire."signal 12" Brentwood FD N.Y. CO. 2 there were only volunteers on long island at that time.

  • I was at a museum today and there was a 1919 american lafrance fire truck there, I was not spose to sit on it but could not resist. those things are put to gether to go forever, it retiered in 1968, only 49 years, the front end of that truck probably weighs 3,500 pounds and i was steering it with my little finger, the thing was so well built, it steers better and i mean much better than vehichles with power steering, i want it so bad.

  • Kinda looks like a cross between the fire dept and the beverly hillbillies!!!

  • if someone can answer this plzzz did they go to a real fire or this was just like a acting video or something like were they rele responding to a call?

  • @MultiShooter123 --- I don't quiet understand your question, but let me see if I can explain what is happening. We were just playing around with the antique fire engine and the old fire alarm system. However, in the old days it would have been somewhat similar, but without all the backfiring and rough sounding motor. The old American LaFrance pumpers really sounded great. Does that answer your question?

  • yes i undserstand now thanks and very nice video thanks for posting it

  • Is that a fan-belt driven siren running on that piece?

  • just not the same without Moe, Larry and Curly. lol great vid.

  • that's cool but the captain got his pants stuck on the ladder lol is that cal OSHA approved . fire gear apparatus looks like a clip from the tree stooge's great vid lol.i liked the smoke billowing out the rear of the engine.looks like they need to call a fire truck .

  • This Video is great. classic gear with a classic apparatus. AWESOME!!!!

  • Some Fire Departments Have Very Old Appuratus Still In Service

  • lol and i thought it was funny/sad when we hop in our 1961 ford pumper to respond to calls. thats right 1961 its our stations first and original truck and its still in service and rolls on every call we also have a 1968 chevy c30 that is the first truck to roll

  • HOW did you get all the classic gear?

  • Comment removed

  • I can just here curley going woob woob woob running for the rig!

  • Excellent "historic" video...of the "way it used to be, especially with the "Box coming-in." Thanks for posting it.

  • wtf?!? lol

  • LOL I LIKE IT

  • So cool!

  • Neat, I Wish I could get my hands on a roofless cab engine, and I wish we could still ride standing on the back or side, It may have been dangerous but it looked cool and fun. Besides what the hell isn't dangerous now a days?

  • It looks cool and fun until it's 34 degrees out with freezing rain. Heck you use to be getting dressed going down the street holding on with one hand.

  • I hope it really isn't backfireing like that.

  • you and me both!
