  • RIP Charly 1997-2011

  • Akita are very intelligent dogs. You can tell the dog is really enjoying it. Now the only thing to watch out for is, Akita always like to be dominant, so if its always play time, guess whose going to be calling the shots. The only thing which is over stepping the marking in the interaction, is the barking, Akita's don't bark without reason. They are big dogs and will challenge you, count on that, so a firm but kind owner is required.

  • People who complain about how dangerous this is don't know what its like to be a guy owning a big dog.

  • potentially very dangerous dogs - very irresponsible owners. dangerous training and behaviour that should not be fed and fueled.

dog and owner should be shot

  • My 8 month old Akita fought a grown male pitbull. He hates other animals and he followed a drunk man across the street, if he finds his way loose outside it is almost impossible to catch him. He is a very nice puppy though and he waits for his little sis (a kitten) and little bro (younger puppy) to finish eating/drinking before he eats and drinks.

  • You should not fight with your Akita like that... Do you know what that cute little dog could do for you?Akitas born in Japan and they are trained to protect their families.

  • This guy apparently doesn't value his throat too much. Before everyone jumps on me, I'm not one of those who subscribes to the "vicious breed" mentality. 8 times out of 10, it IS how the dog is raised and not the dog, with 2 exceptions: Akitas, and Preso Canarios. I would never, EVER trust either of those breeds. Pit bulls? Sure. Argentine Dogo? Want one. Had 3 Doberman "friends" when I was 8 years old. But never one of these. Not in a thousand years.

  • @servingthealiens akitas are amazing dogs ive had one when i was young and i dont want any other dog after ive had one.

  • @servingthealiens Really? My dad owned a akita. That dog would fight to the death to protect me an my brother. I've never seen a more gental dog then that one. It never bit me and I played rough with him. It would never hurt anyone who was'nt a threat to me or my family. I can't think of a better kinda dog to trust.

  • @servingthealiens My akita was honestly the kindest, most loyal dog. He infact failed as a guard dog because he was so friendly and loving.

I don't know what you're basing your judgement on, but it's ridiculous. With or without training ANY dog breed may become vicious or snap, just as an insane person or murderer would.

  • My friend has one of these and it comes up to my hip and I'm 6ft. Most protective and loyal dog you can get but they don't listen for shit and they're hard to train.

  • One of my best friends had an Akita. I used to play with her, and sometimes she would get a little rough, realize it and go into big baby mode. I ended up going to my friend's house to see his dog more than him. She was so cool!

  • Cute, he is having lots of fun!

  • Foxy! Hey!

  • fluffy akitas beautiful! btw how come Roxy can't join the fight? <3

  • watch out she/he might bite u!!!!!

  • i think long-haired akitas are much more handsome

  • We had an Akita that looked similar to yours when I was a kid. He was a great dog and my best friend growing up.

  • he sound like a bear

  • ROXY JUST WANTED TO PLAY YOU GINGER FAIRY!!!

  • my favorite dog. grew up with one that saved my life. i will get one when i get my own house. love them and great video!

  • That dog is ADORABLE! And it looks like a really fun dog to have. My dog just lays around all day :(

  • "Get up and fight like a man, you ginger fairy."

  • we have a 8 and a half year old puppy akita

  • @rafael171010 not exatly a puppy then is it?

  • @rafael171010 If it's 8 and a half it's not a puppy. :P Though my Akita is around the same age and she still acts like a puppy and is still physically fit like a puppy. They're amazing dogs. :)

  • @MrFyrfly my former dog was the same, he stayed like that for 10 years or so, but then he started to get old fast. appreciate it, even though it probably is annoying as hell sometimes :)

  • @jonvegard31 My Akita's ten and doesn't show any signs of aging. People mistake her for being a lot younger. And it does get a bit annoying. Especially when she wants me to walk her. But it's so very worth it. :)

  • @MrFyrfly you're very fortunate :) hope she's going to be there for a long time :)

  • i have two akita inu.. they are relative to each other.. the father of the male is the grandfather of the female.. is it okay to breed them? or should i better find another male? ... thanks.. I love my akitas they love wrestling me huhuu.. they like sumo wrestling!

  • @verdandi89 I'd look for another male, if i were you. Cause if you'd breed your male to your female, you have a higher risk of genetic distorders.

  • How old is that beautiful male Akita? My Akita four years old now and he's much larger than that one. Same colourations, though. It's like watching my dog in miniature!

  • akitas are awsome dogs i had 6 at one time they all liked to play like that and some time chase me for my sandwich D: lol

  • unless socialized early, akitas are extremely aggressive to other animals.it took 2 monthes to train him to ignore the existence of my 14 year old cat, to the point where the "LEAVE IT" could walk thru his legs while he ate. but any animal in the general population, he would kill if given a chance. He was 2 or 3 years old when i got him and even with daily socialization and training it was months b4 i could control his dog aggression without transference bites or snaps to my arm or leg

  • @falcoeur 2-3 years? in doggy years thats 21 years....thats why you had a hard time mate

  • loved the video. I adopted my akita from an akita rescue and from what i understand the shelters in CA will not allow akitas to be adopted, ever. wolf hybrids are killed. daily, and akitas are reported to the rescues. My akita will play just like that with my kids and boyfriend and gently cuddles with stuffed animals, but come to my locked metal screen door at night and he will rise on his hind legs, so he can look u in the eye while trying to rip your throat out. NEVER underestimate an akita.

  • My Rocky plays the same way! love these dogs!

  • What 2 lovely dogs and great owners..I have a akita Bella, shes a year old and have had her 2 wks.She seems to be settled in well...She is so like Roxy here!!

  • Proven right here that all it takes is training and having a relationship with your frigin dog. Some people are stupid for hating this type of dog. My personal favorite :)

  • akitas are really great dogs and would rarely show agression torwards anything though if it feel as though its owner is in danger it will eat your face off !

  • he called him a ginger fairy!!-lmao thas funny

  • thats great. my akita punches me just like that all the time. its a joy to watch

  • poww right in the kisser!..he's gnna get yo ass mr. posstmaaan

  • I own a male Akita. He's too old now to play now but he plays the same way as yours (growls and punches :P) a great thing about akitas are that they know their limits. I'm a teenage girl and i rough house with him but it seems like he knows not use as much strength when he plays with my dad.

  • ha the male must b a runt as the bitch looks way bigger mind you i have a 3 year old bitch wich is built like a house compared to some males

  • this is not a fight dudes this is playing i have akita and when my father plays with him it acts the same

  • KNOCKOUT PUNCH !!

  • Awesome! What cool dog! Best part: just before he tackled the guy and had that deep play growl, my cat got spooked and went and hid! ROFL!!

  • ahhaah my bear loves to wrestle too :D cute!!

  • thank you for posting this vid! i have 2 akitas and i get tired of people saying they are aggressive dogs! my male akita fights the same as yours and they are in no way aggressive. i couldnt own another breed of dog!

    thank you

  • @mupperbailey yes dey are great dogs but can b very aggressive its in the breed to b dat way noone can ever change dat its in der blood i hav a 9 month old one and hes grand it depends on d owener but keep eye on him cos dey will never back down from a fight

  • I have a akita cross rotti ,she looks all akita and is as soft as muck, same colouring as your's and when im fighting with her she is very similar too your's 'soft as muck ,but i would not hv anything else they are brilliant dog's.

  • Great dog! Akitas are amazing!

  • get up and fight like i man you ginger fairy LOL!!!

  • my akitas do the same but they love punching me loverly vid there not mean thats how the play mine trys to pin me on the groung and then licks me to death .

  • Really nice Akita

Hopefully mine can grow as big as yours

  • one day that dog will bite him in the face.

  • @RedJellyable you are 100pct wrong Akita's are ver inteligent animals...it know who and who NOT to attack, if trained properly. I have a Akita name Tanto it never attacks no one...Akita's are NOT pitbulls, so stop acting if it was one. they are very loyal and playfull and always protective towards it's master and friends and also the Public after its trained....so stop acting like its a Pitbulldo your research

  • @slingernoob356 do my research tell my friends little sister who got bit by a akita which she knew,as for the the not pitbulls they are japanese fighting dogs, and you remember a dog is a dog not a human.

  • @RedJellyable Understand what i have said, you are right a dog is a dog, but you ignored the fact when i stated "Akita's are ver inteligent animals...it know who and who NOT to attack, if trained properly"...my Akita Tanto is a adult now and never attack no one the fact is probley its a good chance the dog as not trained properly and a dog is a dog, but the dog in the video is trained, its just playfull...the dog that attack your friends little sister was not properly trained

  • @RedJellyable and also that is NOT japanese Akita its a American Akita yes the roots of the Akita inu come's from Japan but the are diffrent dogs overall just with simular roots, i hate when people say a American Akita and a Japanese Akita is the same thing because its not. as i said before i have a American Akita and has not touched anyone its very playfull and loyal if trained right and loyal to its master...any dog can be aggresive or loyal all depends how its trained look into it

  • @RedJellyable and sorry for the rudness but thats like a insult to my Akita and everyone love's him very much he never would hurt a fly

  • @RedJellyable I'm sorry about your friends little sister, but do not blame a breed because of one dog!

Any dog can be a danger to a human particularly a child if it is not raised and trained right.

I had a friend who's 18mth old daughter got torn up by a stupid little friggin' Chiuahua.

Don't blame a breed because of an irresponsible owner.

  • @Prophet776 i would blame the breed when it comes to the chiuahua, i HATE those dogs! and small dogs are usually aggressive. but a bad dog out of a good breed usually is the exception, not the rule, or how that saying goes

  • @RedJellyable the TOSA INU is a Japanese fighting dog. The AKITA INU is a Japanese hunting and guarding dog. There is a hUGE difference between fighting and hunting!!!

  • @AkitaPullin thats funny ive a couple of books on akitas and they say japanese fighting dogs, also anyone whos owned a akita will tell you they have to be very careful with them around other dogs,so get your facts right before you tell people who happen to have owned and been in the company of akitas.

  • @RedJellyable it is a fact that I have a four-year-old American Akita. It is also a fact that if Akitas are socialized with other dogs they get along quite well. I even have a video of one of our kittens drinking water out of his bowl while he is eating next to her. Your book probably says they are food aggressive and not to have small animals around them, right? Tell me again, who needs to get their facts right?

  • @AkitaPullin a dog is a dog not some baby all these people need to understand that including yourself,do you agree with women dyeing there dogs for fashion or carring them in handbags,i dont the same way i dont like people makeing stupid videos like this just showing off, thats my view and anyone dont like tough.

  • @RedJellyable If you don't like it, why watch and comment? He's having fun with his dog and wants other Akita owners to be able to identify with this video and share their own experiences.

  • And why can't Roxy join in on the fun?

  • My friend is fine around all dogs but can't look an akita in the eye, they scare him shitless because of all the stories he hears about akitas attacking people violently.

After seeing this video I now beleive he is a tool.

  • grab his paws they usely dont like that

  • Haha, I do that to my akita all the time. Though he is rough sometimes, he's just a big puppy

  • this is cute! and i like this! =D great dog hes HUGE, an Akita would be my #2 choice, (GSD #1) but anyway, luv this! =D

  • Makes me sad and happy to see this video. Our 120 lb Akita, named Bear, was Fawn with black face, soo similar to these dogs. We had to put him down at 13 and was my husbands best friend, Bear was so loyal. I love these dogs, but they do have to respect their owner. Miss him so much.

  • eee by gum! Let's abuse some dogs.Weird.

  • @welshiewonder

Really? Where's the abuse? All I saw was playing, dogs play much harder with each other than what you see here.

  • I am geting one !!!

  • 'get up and fight like a man you ginger fairy" lol!! i've never heard that before.

  • what beautiful dogs, My akita is 11 now and a bit to old to rough house but would play like this until about a year, they are so loyal and loving and playful, the best of dogs when brought up properly like yours so obviously are.

  • Akita's are the sweetest, most lovable, playful dogs I've ever met. They have so much personality. Unfortunately my Akita passed away a few years ago. I miss him so much. But I've got years of memories. I think one of my favorite things about my akita was that he could come off kind of dense (as in, not the sharpest tack in the box) even though he was very intelligent. It was just that he wanted to do what he wanted to do. lol You have some beautiful dogs there.

  • my uncle had an akita and it used to attack him, but that is just because he used to hit it too much when it was bad (and it was still a pup) i was about 8 and it never went for me, they are very lovable dogs

my friend has one and if you scratch its chin it smiles XD

  • you have beautifull dogs and this video is awesome ! i have asked my friends to do a similar video with one of my Ovcharkas but they're all to scared lol

  • nice little jab there by the bear

  • NICE DOG

  • Love the dogs. We have a seven month male with similar markings. I love my akita. They are such wonderful dogs and very playful. Mine plays just like the one in the video. When he heard him bark mine started barking.

  • Wow they are gorgeous ... I love my Akita too. Nice vid.

  • Best dogs in the world. very nice video man,

  • LOL...i play with my akita like that too....they are just playing...lovely akita that you have, mine is just awkwardly large. 65 Kg, he is huge and his head lol...massive head.

  • They look ok but there mutts.

  • @SAMKREATOR How are they mutts??? They are absolutley gorgous. They don't like anything but akita so.

  • he is lovely.the tail is wagging so no sign of aggression.i see you have him well trained so dont let anyone tell you otherwise

  • : 23 powerpunch! beats you!

    que chidos estan tus perros

  • your right willer26 hey will only be able to be around the owners . Akitas are powerful naturuly aggressive dogs to get them hyped up is a set up for disaster

  • I love Akitas, one of the smartest loyal dogs God made. I had a American Akita that i saved from the pound for 10 years. she since passed away New years day.

For you people that know nothing about them, and want one. get expert advise on them. they are powerful, smart, quite, and need lots of attention and exercise. wimpy owners need not own one. they require a strong willed, calm owner.

Think I'll check the shelters for one that needs a new home. great dogs for indoors too.

  • @WizzRacing actually they are good dog, but far far from the smartest

  • @CedrikTheManiac00 Never seen a dumb one yet. Just lazy owners that feed them and then go watch T.V. They are very aware of what is going on around them and understand commands once trained. They need lots of exercise a good diet and someone that cares.

If you want pet get a turtle, You want a friend get a dog!

  • love akitas best dogs in the world

  • This video is adorable! I love your dog! I play fight with my golden retriever all the time. They're babies even at 10 years of age! Love it!

  • am so scared!!

  • Lol this is hilarious! so funny when he picked it up!! lol

  • omg you got a really awesome akita

  • lol Akitas are so funny to wrestle :] Cuteee

  • but he never forget ;)

  • this is really cute. shows how friendly and playful Akita Inus are :)

  • my akita wont speak lol we tryed everythin, he only barks wen sumthins wrong check him out WHITE AKITA ROCKY THANKS

  • @vicphillnrocky09 thats not a bad thing atleast ur akitas a good guard dog

  • thats one rapid dog... well reared.

Mine goes on the exact same.....!!!

  • Raising a dog will be of what they grow up to be. I raised my uncle's Japanese Akita with him and I used to wrestle with it literally, grew up being respecting dominant people. It used to be like this video LOL, but more rough like actual wrestling such as headlocks and it used to jump onto me and do some ground and pound. Real fun, beautiful animals!

  • tell me this video doesn't make you want an akita... great great dogs

  • THAT IS A MEAN DOG....... NOT!!! Mean dogs dont wag thier tails vigerously when atttacking something. LOVE IT

  • 0:52 ''cheater!!! you cant pick me up!!! lol

  • This dog is not aggressive even when he was in unprotected position when the man grabbed his neck a he was laying on his back he didn't became aggressive! An somebody told me that these dogs are very dangerous! I can see no sign of that at all!

  • @zsozso411 ---in all honesty my friend, an akita is the last dog you wanna fuck with, though their temperment does vary from dog to dog, they are generally very nice and understanding dogs, i can grab my akita by the sides of his neck and he wont bite me. A...because he know we are playing, and B...he wouldnt think twice of biting me cuz he know ill kick his ass. a lot of factors are involved though. how well the dog knows you their temperment and their age. check my video out of my akita. mypage

  • they are not dangerous if you are just playing, but if someone trys to attack their owner, then they would get dangerous.

  • and trust me there a tough ass dog

  • @zsozso411

well, they can be if not properly trained, two Akita's (male and female) had jumped a 6 or eight foot fence in Seattle and killed another female Akita SLOWLY and tried killing the kids the "good" Akita was protecting =( but yes, these dogs are POWERFUL and have some good KILLER instincts, but if properly trained and socialized, there just big puppies XD

  • @zsozso411 i've seen an akita get mad, the danger is the unpredictability of its outbursts. It can be calm and suddenly vicious for no apparent reason. Then just as quickly it becomes calm again. These dogs are on of the most ancient breeds of dogs which make them very close to wolves. I attribute this feral character to the wild blood that still flow within them. Without proper socialization, these dogs are pretty much wolves and the cause of its notorious reputation!

  • its because clearly this dogs in a loving home so he knows its only play my akita bigger then this one, and i can do the same and he knows its only a play fight, but they can be one of the most dangerous dogs in the world easly due to the size and strength , lol

  • @zsozso411 Don't get fooled by this video the breed is dangerous if they go off. Think of a 140lb Pit bull. My most favorite dog I ever had was Bull , AKC registered American Akita. He was huge just solid muscle . Never mean to him just loved him and socialized him. One day a 250lb tuff guy out of the blue went up to him and tried to grab him not in fun either. Bull snatched his arm dragged him down and it got ugly quick for that man. I barley could get Bull off the SOB. Not a good sight.

  • @zsozso411 Akita's can be aggressive if not socialised with people and other dogs/animals from when they are young. They are very protective of their homes and family's, and being large and powerful animals if they are not trained right their headstrong and independent nature could become a problem. However, if they are raised right, Akita's are the most loyal and affectionate dogs on the planet. They thrive off the love and attention of their owners.

    These two are beautiful dogs.

  • Brilliant...how dogs can be with the right attention and luv...specially akitas mine is just like your 1 in the video they got great character

  • dont get bit by one of them mind ive got one nd trust it ent gd but they r lovely dogs i love mine but its not to say all akitas are the same.

  • Wow they are gorgeous dogs! i hate the stigma attached to any dog when although some dogs are bred for there natural guarding instinct 99percent of the time its bad ownership that makes any dog be it a jack russel or an Akita attack a human!! stunning dogs youve got there and clearly very well socialised and looked after and judging the size of them well fed too!!!

  • LOL My Akita does that all the time when he wants to go for a walk.

  • Update:

Dog has since been destroyed after killing bald headed man. The contents of the Dog's stomach revealed a balding head and traces of yorkshire pudding and gravy.

  • Hahaha reminds me so much of mine, it play fights the same way and everything. being a ruthless killing machine, has it developed an appetite for children yet? mine eats around 4 a day!!!!!!

  • LOL at Chemical Romance in the background!

  • ginger fairy XD ROFL

  • And 1 day it will attack a child....what ya going to do then?

  • Get the fuck out you troll.

  • Your profile reads you are only 21....i will forgive you as you are still young with no common sence

  • And I will have to forgive you, for it seems you are either retarded, or just completely ignorant.

  • Shut the fuck up betch you make the breed seem like cold-hearted killers when the dog is just playing you can clearly see he wouldn't hurt a child. HE GIVES FUCKING KISSES!?!?

  • Strong vile language from a 14 year old. I think you listen too much "Gangsta Music"

Grow up little boy bet your mum & dad would be so dissapointed in you using swear words like that

  • Ima gurl and I'm not 14... o.o Oh shiz must have messed up when i made this thingy... xD fail. anyway I lisen to The Beatles and rock and sometimes heavy metal, and I HATE rap and btw nice backround music in this vid luv MCR...

  • I dont understand a word you have written. Lets leave it at that....I cant be bothered with you.I wont reply as you are not worth my time or inteligence.

  • LOL

  • ginger fairy?

  • greath conexion¡¡

  • is his balls gone i dont think im gonna chop my akitas balls of i want him to be a badass

  • are they japanese akitas or american?

  • American

  • no japanese

  • i was wrong sorry its american

  • :o)

  • ;) i can admit when im wrong lol

  • how can u tell the diff. between jap or american akitas? just out of interest because i dunno which i prefer :P

  • have a look at the face you can tell with the eyes and the body is bigger on the american and the muzzle is shorter on the japanese. hope that helps ;)

  • Less athletic, more bulkier body with stubbier limbs and more square head on the American. Japanese tend to be more athletic looking and sharper features.

  • 0:17-0:30 great :) Akita win :)

  • I do that to my Akita too! And everytime i touches his nose, he sneezes. LOL

  • Nice dogs.

  • i have an akita 7 months look the same as that one

  • would it be as big as a Labrador??and is it a friendly dog wit kids?

  • Proper Japanese Akita would be a similar size to a labrador but these look more like American Akita which are larger.Although most Akita would be great around kids personally I would not recommend it as they were bred as fighting/hunting dogs.

  • and also akitas arn't actually recommended around kids

  • its a little bigger, and its good with kids if it grows around them.

  • Actually to be completely truthful they're a fair bit bigger than labs, they get bigger and just as heavy as rottweilers

  • The original Japanese Akita is around the same size as a lab but the vast majority of Akita's now follow the lines of the American Akita which has been deliberately bred to be a bigger thicker set dog much like the Rottweiler.

  • The ones seen here are both american though so i thought that's what you were getting at, sorry for the misunderstanding :)

I've got a 4month old american akita called milo =)

  • I have a black labrador but one of my friends has a Japanese Akita.Personally though I think the American Akita has a better temperament and is more suitable as a pet.

  • He is a great little guy i just hope he grows up to be a big beast!

  • Train it well and it would be a great dog. It is way larger than a lab and supervise when it is playing with kids because due to the size of this dog. I say this dog is around the same size as a Rottweiler but a little taller.

  • anytime we try to wrestle with our male Akita, our female always has to get right in the middle of it too ! She'll start biting his neck and nipping his legs...hilarious..love the video

  • check my akita videos ,cool dog btw

  • thats funny. our akita used to sneeze when rough-housing.

  • Aww that looks my new akita "Preacher"...acts like him too

  • The dog is beautiful and very playful. If the dog is trained properly from the start, there's no reason something as simple as this would cause any kind of problem. Once again, gorgeous Akita :]
