Preston Reed is an amazing guit-fiddler. I know it's slap funk. I just like the way that rolls of the tounge....GUIT-FIDDLER...sorry :-) Great song. Awesome talent no doubt. God bless all of you. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSICANS! They just might need YOU as a catalyst to become as rad as Preston. Oh yeah..a guitar will now be called a "Guit-Fiddle"..from now on LOL. Thank you
I have never found anyone to match the caliber of Preston Reed. Guitarists like Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, Eric Mongrain are all incredible and so skillful. Yet I still feel Preston is in another technical realm with the stuff he does, those odd tunings, the jazzy undertones - the mind boggling combination of complicated slap and string playing, the synchronicity there is unbelievable. Good luck in CandyRat Preston.
What the hell does that have to do with wanking? Your opinion should be disregarded due to the fact you appear to be narrow minded. An opinion does not necessarily mean expertise in the music field. you aren't arguing the point you're just telling people to shut up and sit down.
I think it is narrow minded to measure the value of music by judging technical skills...which is ridiculous anyway because McKee, Dufour, Reed and Mongrain have more skills than 98% of any other guitar players and nobody can tell who is "better"...so that`s why I think, that comparing thing is just wanking.
If you are saying that people's, like 2882890's comments shouldn't be let out in here, what is the comments section for? I think everyone can let out their opinions of each artists, if they are telling why they like that more. I think too that Reed writes better music, I do not mean about how much better he is in skills, but how the music sounds to my ear, Night Ride and Twang Thang are my favourite songs from him, but are you now going to say that it's just wanking to tell here my opinions?
Absolutely hypnotic. A perfect blending of two art forms. Stunning. Rappers can keep their angry rhymes and canned rhythums, I'll take substance any day of the week.
mmm nice, brought back memories for me too of riding steam trains across India in the 70s, going real slooow and sitting on the door step, door open watching the countryside go by (probably not allowed now c/o H&S regs); Preston's music in the background would have been perfect.
Thank you for the journey! It brought back memories of the dust and tick summer air accompanying my train travels through Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal that I miss... A very good blend of sound and visuals. Congrats on the collaboration!!
Always been one of my favourite tracks by Preston. The matching images are fantastic. There is a darkness mixed in with the tremendous beauty in the music and although I've never been there (although I'd love to get there someday), I imagine India to be very similar. Great video!
Preston is the master of this genre, IMHO -- both in the quality of and development in his composed pieces, his technique, and the power of the music!
Preston Reed is amazing to see live, i saw him at the port fairy folk festival here in australia and it was his first time out here and he is amazing to watch with the way he play the guitar.
Wonder composition and playing Preston and excellent editing Marcus. The film starts to take off at 2:51 and all I can say is What a Ride! God Bless. Ray
What can I say but just awesome. And the visuals really add to the whole feeling of the song, or is it the other way around? Whatever, it's still awesome.
