Hey, that crocodile used to hang out with me while fishing in Florida bay (off land - from the boat ramps in Flamingo). I'd know him anywhere. Middle of the night, nobody around for miles, two silent eyes watching from the water, getting closer, then submerging again... yep, same crocodile.
Correction: Our crocs are not dangerous! There has never been a recorded attack on a human by a croc in South Florida. Gators definitely, but not our crocs.
You actually identified a crocodile correctly, without calling it an alligator, or calling an alligator a crocodile. I may have to review my assumptions about people who go to the everglades.
