  • What if you have 4 numbers how can u find out the median then?

  • @tiscarocks you get the average of the 2 numbers in the middle

    Example:

    7,16,25, and 32

16 and 25 are in the middle:

    so (16 + 25)/2

    41 / 2 which is 20.5

However, this does not say that the only number which can be a median in this example is just 20.5. 20.5 is just the recommended answer, in other words you can say that any number between 16 and 25 are also the median eg. 16.1, 18.3 , 21, 23, etc.

there are infinite numbers possible to be median of the set

    Hope this helps.

  • Hey guys, if you end up with two number in your number line when you are trying to find the median, you have to add those two numbers together and then divide by two to find the median. Please thumb up so others can see.

  • @ImBabyBunny I knew they made a mistake there. I remember my instructor talking about that.

You get a thumbs up good sir :D

  • Thanks for explaining this to me. I am a parent and we didn't have to deal with this back in the day but my son certainly does!

  • WAT IF THERES TWO MIDDLE NUMBERS?

  • @hishimsham find the number between the two numbers in the middle

  • @hishimsham get exactly in between them. e. g. if the two middle numbers are 43 and 44, the mean is 43.5

  • @hishimsham If there are two middle numbers, you find the mean of both. Ex. if the two middle numbers are 6 and 12, you find the sum of 6 and 12 and divide by two. (6+12)/2 =9.

    Hope this helps.

  • @Phillybob1982 thanks man thats what i was looking for

  • @rackster105 No problem :)

  • suite101.com/content/social-sciences-statistics--mean-median-and-mode-a263694

  • @kindhelpforyou1 I found this page that also helps explain the mean, median, and mode. THis teacher also explains it very well. Cool!

  • Thank you! Its been so long since Ive been in school. Thank you for helping me understand my 5th graders homework so I can help him! I would have been lost without this video.

  • What a Teacher... ... reminds me of a scene from George Orwell's 1984

  • how does she do the math in her head so quickly !

  • Remember if someone ask you to find the average, just find the mean.

  • in 2:59 minutes i have managed to learn something than 1 hour in my math class thank you yourteachermathhelp XD

  • i hate when she talks

  • i love that she explains this so well it really did help me,though when she found the mean 29.2 i didn't understand how she got the 2 part is that the remainder? please send me a awnser measage

  • thanks i got a 100% on my home work

  • yah im learning again

  • She can do maths. I want to date this lady.

  • for the median, what is there is an even number of integers. ex: 1,2,3,4,5,6 what would be the median?

  • @dartmaster1101 \

The median would then be the two numbers in the centre of the data set.

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. Miss one day in school and it haunts you for forty years.

Now I'm on the path to recovery (knowledge)!!

  • I can't believe how fucking simple this was to understand on here! OMG! I swear maybe it's because she was using just a dry erase board and not a video graph like my Math instructor did. ADHD, math and bright colors =Disaster and that is a true math equation there!!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!

  • I don't understand the hate on the comment section, she provided a clear, and wonderful explanation, thank you so much! I had to do this for an Science assignment for weather class.

  • What happens when you need to find a variable with a range?!?! thx it was a good lesson!!

  • this teacher explain good to me sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good

  • What we wont with calculation of mean, median, mode?

  • O only needed this because my teacher only told us how to find a median...

  • thank you so much i passed a test with your help thank ou again:)

  • Dawm.... Even in youtube, maths teacher's voice sounded boring.....

    P.S..... No Offense......

  • thanks for my kids see you video and understand all.( marcos)

  • Thank you very much :)

  • Let me ask you something greenball88.

Why would you even take the time to look up this video, click on it, and then watch it if all you were going to do was act like an ignorant hack and call it boring.

  • if it was a6 number there will be no mediam

  • wait, how do u find a range of a data?

  • You'll have a list of numbers, find the highest number, and the lowest. subtract the two numbers.. theres your answer :D

  • OHMYGAD SHE'S A ROBOT!!!

    BLAH-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH, MONOTONE CRAPPY TEACHER.

    wahhh I hate maths.

  • wat if their was 6 nummbers what will the median be

  • If there are 6 numbers (or any even number of items) you just select the two middle numbers and average them. Ex. You have the numbers 2,3,4,5,6,7. 4 and 5 are the middle numbers, so you find the average of those two numbers. 4.5 is the median of the set.

  • If you have an even set of numbers, you pick 2 middle numbers (in this case N3 and N4) and calculate their mean. That will be your median for that set
