  • I have always loved John Waite... Even when he was with the Baby's. I agree with RUSSCHARLES..... John Waite is one of the most underrated beautiful voices of our time. His acoustic version is to die for!!!!!

  • This is my absolute favorite song! John Waite rocks!

  • Great song

  • You are the best.. Love this song

  • Благодарю за прекрасное видео! Наилучшие пожелания!

  • This song is awesome! <3 it!

  • Yes this man is brilliant! But should have got more credit for his great performance. He's somewhat underrated.

  • Does MTV actually play real music videos like this anymore? I wonder. I don't know cuz I never look at that former great, now awful channel.

  • his latest cd "Rough and Tumble" is great...

  • 2 people didn't get by.

  • John Waite is one of my favorites musicians from the 80's. I actually remember the first time I heard this song. So beautiful. I was really moved by it. To this day,it's still one of my favorite love songs. Thanks for uploading it.

  • he is one off the best singers, with JOHN FARNHAM,both have a bad tast of songwriters.its a shame

  • @bowietvc ...I love Little River Band and you're right they both are awesome.

  • Superba piesa...absolut superba!

  • I will always be a fan. To sit down with John and have a chat would be so awesome. Talking about anything ....it wouldn't matter.

  • Viens en France John !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely love this song! This man is brilliant!

  • totally great voice...that song take me to the highest euphoria THANKS FOR EXIST JOHNWAITE!!!

  • I still remember the first time I bought the CD single of this beautiful song! Love John Waite and his beautiful unique voice!

  • Everyone Check out John's new album (Rough and Tumble). It's great especially if you ever get lonely, shadows of love, and better off gone!

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!

  • hauntingly beautiful display of New York City with an equally moving soundtrack from Waite. What happened to sober, somber, velvety, classy rock music like this?

  • Awesome musician, too bad his upcoming album sounds like crap! He needs to go and do songs like this again!

  • He's aging nicely, isn't he ? Reminds me of Lyle Lovett, in that he just keeps getting better as a performer / musician / artist. His voice is amazing. Has always resonated with me. One of my favorites, actually. Him, Lyle, Sarah McLaughlin, James Taylor (ok, I'm 52 years old), and Billy Idol.

  • I remember seeing this video alot on MTV and believe it or not this pops up on the radio every once in awhile.I would think this song,Missing You,Change and even Tears were songs people still remember to this day by him as a solo artist. Then there are the Bad English and The Babys songs as well.

  • and dang is he good looking

  • un super dios d los grandes!!

  • he is awesome

  • Doesn't matter........coldest weekend in NY.I say that is a love so strong one would pay no never mind to the weather, am I right? YEP! ( :

  • I am so sad for him that after this album was released "Temble Bar", the label went under so the album got lost in the shuffle. It is a beautiful record full of autobiographical songs and THAT VOICE!

  • i remember in the days before the internet walking into a shop and hearing this having no idea john even had a new album out! it is just perfect uplifiting aor and as everyone says one of the great underrated voices. thanks for posting such a great evocative video

  • This was my wedding song!! =)

  • RUSSCHARLES.....You are right on my brotha.....They always talk about Sinatra hitting the emotion of the song better than anyone... and they are right with the exception of JW...his emotion is always right on and his voice is sweeter than Sinatra's...give me John Waite!

  • hi. wow Its funny. my boyfriend and I drove into the city that day,we were by Central park at a traffic light,I happened to look out the window and John was about 30 feet away filming this video.he was walking with the camera in front of him rolling in reverse.

  • I was born listening to him, and I'll always love him. YOU ROCK JOHN!!!

  • My apologies for butchering the title in my Missing You comment.

I agree! Even the volatile Rolling Stone was dead-on for saying he is underrated. Rod Stewart also agrees. BTW Rod the Bod sounds pretty good doing Waite!

Waite did well with and without the Babys. Bad English just had bad timing: grunge killed the band!

As for the song this is really Pt. 2. to Missing You.

And this is one of my favorite Waite songs, solo or group.

  • John Waite is simply one of the most underrated beautiful voices of our time..This song has it all, lyrics, melody, wrapped into one with his ever so wonderful way of adding his emotion to every thing he has ever done, from The Babys to a solo career, onto Bad English and back to solo!

  • I absolutely concur! Born in '83... I love JW!

  • @RUSSCHARLES I agree with you.....julie h

  • awesome,

  • I BOUGHT THIS CD A LONG TIME AGO. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE i WILL HEAR HIS VOICE AND HAVE TO FIND THIS SONG STILL IN MY HEART TO REMIND MYSELF NOT TO GIVE UP ON THE NOW 25 YRS OF MARRIAGE THAT HAD ALOT OF REASONS TO END MANY TIMES. TODAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN.. DIVORCE PENDING.

  • That's 25 more years than I. Are you sure, that regardless of the adversities and turmoil, that broken hearts can't be mended? If not, then one must do what one must do. Good luck and all the best...

  • I hope you think long and hard before you do the D word thing. Is it really worth it? I hope you can work it out. Life is to short and precious to throw what you have had away. Peace out...

  • Temple Bar rules !

  • @Bosscat25 I had the CD inlay card of the CD case autographed by JW. Yes, I totally agree with your thoughts of "Temple Bar"- saw him live in Mobile, Al. sometime in 2005. It was an acoustic set with only 40 plus in a small private gathering! It was a lot of fun and got to take personal pictures.

  • I Love it!!! From Brazil.

  • Wow,first time seeing this video..bought the CD back when it was released in 1995 and is one of my all time John Waite favorites..

    Thanks for the upload...
