This competition determines age groups by the age of the dancer on the 1st of January. Jeanine turned 16 mid January, this competition was around that time so she had just turned 16. They placed her in the 15 age group because she was 15 on the 1st of January. Many competitions do this.

it's not called 'so you think you have personality'... jeanine was by far the best performer and most technical dancer of the top 10. she could do any genre thrown at her, and she was my favourite right from the start.

Yes ignorant person, you're right that's not the title of the show. However, personality in dance is key an only an amateur would disagree. The judges nicknamed Kayla "white lightening" because they thought she looked like a star when she performed her routines. Jeanine is an excellent dancer too, but I just believe Kayla is more charismatic and makes me more excited (no not sexually) when I watch her than Jeanine. Perhaps movement-wise, Jeanine has a stronger technique and is better but still.

Kayla was technically stronger than Jeanine. but in fact it was Jeanine's incredible charisma that won her the title of America's favorite dancer. Kayla was fluid in her movement but Jeanine was passionate(no not sexually), and that's what translated over to the audience, and is the reason why she won.

i've loved watching her grow through the whole show. she just got better and better. she actually did what the shows all about. growing. brandon and kayla are amazing. no ones arguing that but, at least for me, they were always great and always on top so i didn't feel the need to invest in them. im just so proud of jeanine because she kept growing and growing. she always kept things exciting for me. :D she's like my inspiration now
