they came to my town but never got to see it. i watched it with the original cast here on youtube so im really biased but jake did a great job with this song. its my fave and i melt everytime i listen to jon groff and to hear jake sing it so beautifully really impressed me.
Totally, Jake Epstein really impressed me. That show of his (Degrassi) really didn't do him justice. He's got serious acting chops. He and the girl playing Martha were probably my favorites in the touring cast.
@alpha0mega11 He is extremely talented. Degrassi showcases this a bit (he does do some pretty hardcore stuff), but seeing him live leaves no doubt. He's also an excellent singer, which Degrassi didn't showcase too well. Sadly, he's the reason I found out about Spring Awakening. I would have passed the show along if he wasn't in it.
Did you get to meet him in Miami when you saw the show?
@kme06d No, I wimped out. I'm glad he got you into the show. My little siblings watch Degrassi so I've seen a few episodes. I didn't know he was playing Melchoir until just a few days before the show when I checked out a few videos on the TotallyTrucked page. So I went in kinda skeptical of his ability to tackle the role. I was thrilled to be proven wrong.
@alpha0mega11 Good to hear! It's probably best that you didn't meet him, because I've had mixed experiences with him. I met him the very first time I saw the show live and was totally starstruck, but he was really sweet and took a picture with me and gave me his autograph (he even took off the glasses he was wearing for the picture).
The second time I saw him in Orlando I went up to him, but he was talking with a fan so I waited and then he ran off (maybe he didn't c me), but it kinda jaded me

Saw this live in Miami, such an emotional scene! It gave me chills!

@alpha0mega11 I agree. I think this and "Those You've Known" are the two best scenes (emotionally) of the play.
