@Mazthoril what you gotta understand here is that there's a big trend toward piling greater and greater numbers of pilots into a given conflict that tends to marginalize individual skill. Evoke and it's allies have a few thousand pilots, which sounds like alot, until you look and the NC which boasts roughly 45000 pilots, and reigns over about 1/4 of the conquerable territory.

It's not simply about winning the game, for some it's about individual skill and achievement.

@cheesedude9998 This is translated through the PLEX system. It wasn't literally $15,000. It was WORTH, per se, $15,000. They did not actually pay that much for anything. With PLEX (Pilot's License Extension), players pay approximately 15 USD for a 30-day game time code. This can be redeemed for an in-game item, which is sold (depending on market prices) for roughly 300 million ISK (in-game currency). Assuming $15 = 300 million ISK, the total loss was approx. $15,000. It's equivalents, not real.

Typically researches take the price of PLEX on the market (which corresponds to game time) find out how many PLEX's of value was lost then convert that to gametime. 300bn ISK = 1000 PLEX at 300k Each = 1000 x Subscription cost = $15,000~
