Germany was years behind the US in nuclear research, they gassed their best scientists or drove them to the US. Germany's manufacturing process was more quality oriented then quantity driven. Tiger was better one on one with the Soviet T-34, but not one against 10 T-34s.

But at the end of the war Hitler was so furious with Göring that he undid his resolution. He gave the 'honour' to be führer to someone else, an admiral I guess but I forgot his name. No, Hitler made a sort of resolution (made up before the war) in which he said that if something happened to him Göring would be his succesor. But at the end of the war Hitler was so furious with Göring that he undid his resolution. He gave the 'honour' to be führer to someone else, an admiral I guess but I forgot his name. Bormann doesn't get involved in that history, but knowing bormann he really wanted to be Führer.

Alleen als Goebbels gewilt zou hebben, Goebbels was inderdaad eigenlijk de enige geschikte kandidaat, in feite had Goebbels de leiding over de NSDAP gehad moeten hebben dan zou er naaralle waarschijnlijkheid geen WWII gekomen zijn voordat Duitsland er klaar voor was, want Goebbels was tegen een oorlog.

He wasn't to be the next Führer. Hitler was the only Führer. He was to be the next Reichspresident, while Goebbels was to be the next Reichskanzler. But the title of Führer was exclusive to Hitler only.

I said it because in some of Hauer's films, in certain scenes, when he is looking at someone he seems like he is looking through them. Much like Hopkins did in those films. Like when a predator is stalking it's prey. Check out Hauer's performance in "Bladerunner" with Harrison Ford. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Somewhat true, Truman decided to drop the atomic bombs to end the war quicker and avoid Allied casualties that would have resulted from an Invasion of the Japan mainland. But that is true, History is written by the victor.

How somewhat? In the history of warfare, only two nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively; both by the United States of America ! Now I never commented on Trumans intentions or the if it was the right decision its one of those issues that is so grey there is no right or wrong answer thats what war is. And the intentional bombing of German civillians to lower their morale and support for the Nazi's despite their horrible acts was completely unacceptable in itself. @ikelleners In a way that's true. But remember that the US is an example of an empire where if the leader e.g George W. Bush is replaced. It's ideas don't necessarily change drastically. It takes time. And in some cases these ideals don't change.

I'm not labeling the US evil I'm just pointing out how the films are all so black and white when there is so much gray in warfare and every argument cannot be won by saying what about the holocaust, I don't want to turn this into an argument about that, human beings have the ability to be pretty nasty no matter what country they are from, the English in Ireland, the Americans in the Philippines, the Romans in most places the Russians in Russia etc etc.

Do you know that in North Korea civilians get to wear uniforms? that is fancy everyone is a soldier...If Nazis won I think people will wear uniforms, but it seems that Architecture was more like the Nazi thing. The Architecture they show in this film is quite what Hitler had in his mind for Berlin. But either way when we die we lose uniform and our cool.
