Look at the situation from the top tier team perspective. It is very probable that Vettel will leave the team after his contract expiration. They need a person to replace him. They don't need another Mark Webber or Jenson. the team's official position conveys that they don't see Jaime a team leader in a couple of years. He is a good driver for the mid tier team but not for the bulls to play a leader's role in ther nearest future.
