Great vi I have wanted to fly since I was a lil kid, this look like the most affordable way to get in the air, 4 months till i graduate then im saving for one of these bad boys.
@alexancia5279 The controls are totally different from 3-axis so there's that to get used to. But otherwise weight-shift control is much more intuitive and easier to pick up. The most important thing is the seeing-the-horizon and timing-the-flare mentality. If you can land a fixed wing you could land a trike with a little practice. I flew Cessnas and skydived before triking and it's easier and more fun than either in my opinion. You could get a weight-shift endorsement with probably 10 hrs.
Wow! Ed, that's your best yet. Love the footage of the trike coming towards you, presumably taken from the back seat of one flying ahead of it. Very cool! I think you have the best shots of other trikes I've ever seen. Are you still using the P-bracket you made?
Thanks! I'm using a new mount made of 1 1/2 aluminum angle stock that I can rotate around a vertical axis to point at the trike, forward, backward, sideways. The down angle is fixed at about 25 from the horizon, which seems to work well. All the shots in this video were from that mount but at different angles, except the opening and closing clip done from the ground. It's taking a lot of practice to aim the camera by aiming the aircraft. One day.......remote view screen!

Very nice, the split screen with the glories was particularly effective.
