  • Doulos7608 - "according to the Apostle John ..." and that was your one big mistake right there. The source of all this nonsense. Only the religious think homosexuality is a disorder or disease, despite the many numerous research studies proving it isn't. Not to mention the genetic research, neurological research, twin studies, population studies...on and on. It's called Technological Advancement. It's 2011 now. Citing from a mythical book is not going to help you.

  • My friend, according to the Apostle John (1 John 2:19),

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

You were never a believer. You've supressed the truth in unrighteousness because men love darkness, for their deeds are wicked. According to Paul, in Romans 1, for your sins you deserve death. Repent of your sins, He can cleanse all your filthiness.

  • @Doulos7608 "You were never a believer."

Pretty judgemental there. You are so blinded by your prejudice you don't see what a hypocrite you are. You teach that people should'nt worship idols or follow the example of Lucifer, yet you set yourself up as God. You have no way of knowing what is or was in his heart, yet you pretend to be able to judge him. Your interpretation of 1 John depends upon your presumption that YOU are with John--maybe you have been seperated from the Church by your bias.

  • @TheStrong32 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Not my opinion, but the law of God. No spin or special interpretation needed, just the ability to read. Jeeze guy, what you said sure does sound like judgement.

  • @Doulos7608 "men who practice homosexuality"

The Bible doesn't say that. See how homophobes are so desperate to use religion to rationalize their bias that they actually change the words of Scripture. The Greek word in I Cor.6:9 is "malakos"; which, according to Strong's Concordance means: "persons in general who are guilty of addiction to sins of the flesh." This applies to anybody, gay or straight. Woe to him who adds to or subtracts from Scripture.

  • @TheStrong32 1 Cor. 6:9

ē adikoi klēronomēsousin basileian theou planasthe oute pornoi oute eidōlolatrai oute moichoi oute malakoi oute arsenokoitai

The word you are thinking of "malakoi, malakos (Strong's 3120)". Means soft, delicate, effeminate.

The word that is translated as sodomite is "arsenokoitai", which comes from the two words "arsén" (Strong's 733b, male) and "koité" (Strong's 2845, a bed, marriage bed, to lie with, repeated sexual intercourse).

  • @TheStrong32 Look these things up if you don't believe me. The source you are getting this information up is unscholarly at best and dishonest at worst. This is what the Scriptures say. It is a moral code and law of ethics that is incontrovertible, spoken through the prophets and apostles by the Holy Spirit.

Nobody is forcing you to be a Christian. If you disagree with what the Scriptures say, fine. Be an atheist. Be a pagan. But at least be an honest one.

  • @TheStrong32 My bad. Messed up the last quote from the text in Koine Greek.

    1 Cor. 6:9

ē ouk oidate oti adikoi theou basileian ou klēronomēsousin mē planasthe oute pornoi oute eidōlolatrai oute moichoi oute malakoi oute arsenokoitai

The notes on translation are the same.

  • Next people will be fighting for the rights of pedophiles and pederasts on the grounds that you can't discriminate against people for their sexual inclinations and desires. If secular humanists in all their forms would be consistent with their worldview, they would be the first to admitt, in their bloodlust, that homosexuals are nothing but a hinderance and a stumbling block in the genetic advancement of humanity.

  • @Doulos7608, of course, trying to compare consensual, adult relationships with raping raping and abusing animals is both irrational and idiotic. While you have every right to remain ignorant and hateful, is that all you want for yourself? Think about it.

  • @MattFrame I didn't actually say anything about raping animals, but alright. I did, however, mention pedurism, which technically would be a consensual relationship. Would you stop people from being happy?

Can you deny that homosexuals are a hinderance on human evolution?

  • Anti-gays always end up trying to make a correlation between consensual adult relationships like homosexuality, and pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia, etc., which the rational among us know is absurd & dishonest. No child, animal, corpse, etc., can ever give informed, adult consent, so bringing paraphilias into the mix is a non-starter. It just goes to show how desperate to justify themselves the anti-gays are.

And since no gays ever stop str8s from "evolving", no, they are not a hindrance.

  • Homosexuals aren't sick though. They're just sexual deviants. For these "exgay" people to claim that homosexuals are just the result of some kind of disease or whatever would be not only to dismiss any personal responsibility, but to insult those who actually suffer from such afflictions. Likewise with likening the gay agenda to the struggle for civil rights for certain ethnic /religious groups. I don't agree with that assessment and would not like to be lumped into the same group as the GLBT.

  • We LGBT people don't need the manacles of religion. We are worth enough ourselves to enjoy our life without divine permission. It is the same manacle that got us into this situation, why would we want to promote that?

  • OR... the most important thing in your life is to LIVE your life. Your here, then your gone. Period. You have no time to waste on nonsense. Make the most of it now while you can. Religion is design to form a mental prison in one's head. You are controlled under this whole aspect of the afterlife (conveniently placed after death as a blackmail future to control the present). So many lives & hopes are wasted, being pinned on this archaic notion of the afterlife of reward or punishment.

  • Dude, don't give up on your faith! That's the most important thing in life. Seek God in another church. Your soul is worth it. Man is not responsible for your faith, you are.

  • Google "Jesus was Caesar." Also a youtuber named Calpurnpiso also has some interesting things to say about this (some of which are to be taken with a grain of salt). These are just two of many.

Worse, the 325CE conference determined what books were and what weren't considered to be the "Word of God!" And it wasn't long before the Christian establishment went after those who didn't conform relgiously and sexually, culminating in the holocaust. Is it any wonder I no longer believe in Xtianity?

  • And the Christians changed crucifixion from the most painful, agonizing, and humiliating form of rape (yes, rape) and torture-death that the Romans could possibly imagine into the nailing of a god and lifting him up on a tropaeum (cross of victory). The latter was plaigarised direct from the funeral / deification masses of the Caesars who had passed away, beginning with Julius Caesar. His wax effigy was NAILED to a TROPAEUM. This has been documented. Francesco Carotta has a lot to say about it.

  • What I found out ws that there is simply NO INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE for the existence of Jesus of Nazareth: zero, zip, none, nought, nada. And what the gospels have to say is so contradictory and poorly written that I consider them to be unreliable. And not only that, but what is known as Christianity today was created as a bad compromise between Mithraism, the cult of Divus Iulius (Julius Caesar) and Orthodox-Catholicism as dictated by Constantine to the bishops at the conference of Nicaea 325CE.

  • @EdM021 Don't forget, there's a gospel of Judas

  • @XforeverlongingX Yes, how could I forget? Isn't that where the other apostles have him Stoned to Death and Suspended from a Tree for doing what Jesus said was necessary?

  • @EdM021 Actually, it's the complete opposite. It makes Judas into the one to be respected and betrayed. Not Jesus.. And that's precisely the point. If you don't get the implication there and the meaning I am not going to tire my fingers out typing to you any further.

  • @XforeverlongingX Actually, I already knew the implication! I should have said, "Wrongfully Stoned to Death and Suspended from a Tree." Christian tradition has everything wrong and backwards!!!

  • @EdM021 Well, I'll leave you to be an unlearned unintelligent unlettered ignoramus. You should fit right in with the rest in the pews. That's religion folks. A group of people who reject any point of evidence that challenges their beliefs. With god anything's possible, and it always is. The worst in the human being comes out because they feel they have religious orders to do so.

  • @EdM021 I sincerely, by the way, hope you're joking.

  • Comment removed

  • @XforeverlongingX No, I respect your opinion that Judas is one to be respected. But finding out what I have, I am convinced Christianity is just a load of rubbish. The value of the Gospel of Judas is to show how variant early Christanity was and how willfuly stupid the present-day Chriatians are!

I don't know if you simply aren't getting what I'm saying, or if you're being a thick trolling cunt.

  • @EdM021 Yep I'm a big fat green troll. Burn the churches, raise the lgbt flag.

  • @XforeverlongingX You made me laugh out so hard, I blew coffee through my nose!

  • @EdM021 Lol sorry i went off on you too I took too many pills i think I was angry at the other dudes comment but responded to yours specifically. I dont really know what happened. But yeah troll is basically the description i suppose. a nice lgbtroll

  • @EdM021 plus you're a hot daddy so...

  • @XforeverlongingX Thanks

  • Dan, very important video. Unlike plankboi I do believe that if you're gay you will eventually lose your faith. Even if you get it back, you'll lose it in the end. In discussing with nongay Christians who still hold that being gay is a sin (and don't let them deceive you into thinking it's just the sex and thinking about sex that's sin... they actually DO believe that the status of being gay is a sin!) I was compelled to do research and what I found out completely demolished my faith.

  • Christianity isn't a Church.. or what other people tell you. It's a personal relationship with God that you build by study and prayer and how you live life and treat others, so you should never let other people determine your faith and your walk with God. It's between you and Him, and no one else.

People are always going to fail you.. they are people. Christians are people too, and they fail each other way too often. It's being human.

  • @toddwoodamerican "Christians are people too, and they fail each other way too often. It's being human." Wrong. christianity is the failure of humanity. You can have it, congratulations.

  • Why does the Homosexual community have to put up with this crappola? God loves us all.

  • @awaseniu And you know the mind of a supernatural being? I highly doubt that. What an insult to exgaysurvivordan. You're saying your slaveowner doesn't own and find you sinful because you're gay, he feels that about everybody! what a wicked thing to say.

  • No, it's all about pseudo-scientific lies.

I'm sorry you lost so much of your life through christian hatred. You are beyond that now. I lost much more than you from christian hatred.

  • I dont think its necessary to lose your faith cuz your gay. Im gay & I still hold strongly to the values & faith that I grew up with. Sure I dont live the life that the church feels I should, but I live a life as I have always done. With dignity, respect, more morals than most people can think of & I pray all the time & I have my moments of spirituality in my own way. I refuse to believe that just cuz Im gay God dont love me. No church no person will ever shove that in my face again.

  • Hi, Dan. Another important video.

Like you, the sheer volume of distortions and outright lies I was taught in mainstream Christianity eventually demolished my faith in religion.

Although the anger and sense of betrayal I felt (and sometimes still feel) has been terribly painful, I'm honestly grateful that I managed to get out without killing myself -- the self-hatred that gay people are taught to feel for themselves in mainstream Christianity can become crippling, and even deadly.

  • In fact, most of these conservative churches do pick and choose from the bible themselves. They say that homosexuality is a sin and yet eating shrimp and pork spareribs is not a sin, or mixing fabric. The Bible also says that if their children are disobedient to their parents that they are to be put to death; and that if a woman is not a virgin on her wedding night that she should be stoned to death; and yet they do not take those verses literally. NOW, that is clear hypocrisy right there.

  • It's like they pick and choose which sins, in their eyes, are worse than deception, thievery, and even murder, so they chose homosexuality. Believe me, I am been there and gone through that in another ministry similar like yours, only that there are the extremists who go out on Saturday nights, putting up picket signs and "open air preach." Do not worry, you are not alone in this. It did not just cost me about 9 or 10 months of my time and my faith...

  • ...they also costed me my job, my employment, and my way of supporting my family. On the outside, they say, "To 'wash these sins away' come to Jesus to be forgiven," while behind closed doors, "Gotcha! Now let's just butter him up (convince him that he has changed) until we 'tell him the bad news' that his soul is on the line and that he is 'selfish' and 'irresponsible'" I am glad that I left that group. I do get occasional phone calls to "come back and serve the Lord" or "I love you, bro"...

  • ...but just like domestic violence, the cycle would begin over and over again. I am glad that I broke that barrier by just leaving. Most of these churches do cause psycological and emotional harm to LGBT people as well as ruin one's mental health On the outside, they are loving, but on the inside, they are like the Westboro Baptist Church. Thank you for understanding. I am gay, I was born gay, and I am proud of it.
