@death5089 Thikr is a part of worship. Anything that is used as a means seeking nearness to Allaah is worship but worship must be based on FOLLOWING the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam otherwise it is rejected. Since this jumping and screaming is not from the sunnah it is rejected.

@ThePCGuild No, there is a principle. If the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam had the ability to do a worship but didnt do it then for sure it cannot be done. As for using the internet for dawah, then he never had the ability to do but he did use the technology available at his time to spread dawah (ie paper in letters). As for this thikr, the prophet HAD the ability to do this type of thikr but didnt do it...so its bidah.

There is this Hadith that Hadrat Aisha wanted to stand and watch these people playing drums and dancing once and Rasool Allah let her."Actions are judged by intentions" and if these simple uneducated poor people think this is how Allah gets pleased, I don't think Allah will get mad. @death5089 Thikr is a part of worship. Anything that is used as a means seeking nearness to Allaah is worship but worship must be based on FOLLOWING the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam otherwise it is rejected. Since this jumping and screaming is not from the sunnah it is rejected.

@ThePCGuild No, there is a principle. If the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam had the ability to do a worship but didnt do it then for sure it cannot be done. As for using the internet for dawah, then he never had the ability to do but he did use the technology available at his time to spread dawah (ie paper in letters). As for this thikr, the prophet HAD the ability to do this type of thikr but didnt do it...so its bidah.

How do you know which acts the Prophet (SAW) "would've" done and which ones he "wouldn't have" if he had the technology? Where is the proof of this "principle" from Quran and Sunnah? Sufisomali said the above, you are way off the manhaj. Salafis do not subscribe themselves to Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab, the Salafi ascribe themselves to the Salafus Salih. Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab is just one of hundreds of scholars who Salafis took aqeedah from. He is not the creator of "salafiyyah", the word Salaf and Salafi has been used by many scholars such as Shakyul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah.

To condemn these men, to belittle them for performing Dhikr one way and not another, when there is no evidence of moral lassitude or hypocrisy, is not reasonable. can you pray however you want or do you have to pray like the prophet prayed? you have to pray like he sallah Allahau alayhi wassalam prayed, in fact he literally said PRAY AS YOU SEE ME PRAY, same goes for fasting, zakaat, hajj, jihaad etc EVEN THIKR. Thikr is good and from Islaam and we love it but it has to be done how the prophet performed it. We cannot be better than the prophet rather we follow him in everything he did and HOW he did it. There is this Hadith that Hadrat Aisha wanted to stand and watch these people playing drums and dancing once and Rasool Allah let her."Actions are judged by intentions" and if these simple uneducated poor people think this is how Allah gets pleased, I don't think Allah will get mad. What exactly are these sufis doing wrong? they are chanting names of Allah, they are Muslims, they are not rejecting the pillars of Islam. Nor are their gatherings a replacement of any of the pillars. Their only 'crime' is: they don't view Islam as a mathematical equation (unlike Salafis, Wahhabies and puritans)

read the hadeeth in the more info section, some muslims were doing a new type of thikr soon after the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam passed away and they said they only intend good...Abdullah bin Masuud who is from the BEST OF THE SAHABA said HOW MANY THERE ARE WHO INTEND GOOD BUT NEVER ACHIEVE IT. and he said By Him in Whose Hand is my soul! Either you are upon a deen better guided than the Deen of Muhammad or that you are opening the door of misguidance (from this bid'ah)

the hadeeth are from Allaah, the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassaalm doesnt speak from his own desires he speaks only what Allaah commands him to speak he is the walking embodiment of the quran and he called himself a salafi also and he said there will be 73 sects in this ummah and all in the fire save 1. the prophet himself said there will be one saved sect and they are upon what he and his companions are upon and you call this pagan christian concept? educate yourself.

The Prophet never in his life came to a concrete walled building with glass windows, to pray on a carpeted floor while using a microphone. Is a masjid part of religion or is it part of dunya?
