@aadjuijn I think it was the other way around. Mildred Bailey is the sister of one of the Rhythm Boys, a group of three young men in the early 1930's with Bing Crosby on the lead. They all came from the state of Washington and Mildred got them some connections when they came down to Los Angeles to seek their fortune.
