  • crap. i didnt realize I dont have a drain plug.

  • Drill and tap a hole on the pan and add your own drain plug

  • That aluminum you need to be careful with screw driver could make mess

  • wtf 2 filters? one looks like a oil filter lol

  • Nice video. Glad to see someone with some personality on here. Funny shit, you remind me of my dad and I working.

  • If you change it enough before it gets brown or blackish on reasonible intervals you should not have to worry about flushing the last few quarts out.

  • Options people! Excellent training video fella!

  • So glad my XJ has a drain plug.

  • @ivantheigor I'm jealous!

  • get a benz none of this servicing nonesense

  • @Lambo0225 Haha! So a Mercedes has life time fluids? I dont think so. And lets see a video of your Benz before you tell me to get one

    . ;)

  • @hamilton5071 yes they do, as does BMW . I got 250k (km) on mine now and running fine. manual specifically tells you NOT to change it...

  • can you mail the tranny diagram please to my youtube account?

  • @xnf90x2 - My computer crashed I lost it. :( I have scoured the site again...even asked for it and was unable to find it unfortunately. Should I run across it, I will make sure to let you know!

  • @jbrunsonjr i dont need it anymore thanks anyways

  • good job bro

  • @superco0l88 - Thank you!

  • hahaha you're hood shocks dont work either?

  • @MyCoolAimName1 - Yeah, I finally broke down and bought a new one. Now it's almost time to do the ones for the lift gate in the back...

  • You dont need a dipstick tube... Look at the manual for the car it tell you how many quarts to put in the Jeep.... lol The dipstick is only helpfull to check in case

  • @1ownjoo2 I hope you aren't serious... Unless you measure every last drop of oil that came out of the pan you'll never know for sure that you put the correct amount of fluid in unless you have the dipstick. I did my Crown Vic's transmission fluid and when we put in the as per spec amount of oil, it was still a half quart off. I doubt you are very mechanically inclined.

Also what if there was a leak and you were low on oil in the first place, now you have new fluid and not enough as per spec.

  • @Steveo989

Blah blah, says you ? Thats not what i was reffering to anyway i said dipstick tube.. Not just dipstick. Most new cars dont have dipstick tubes anymore hense why you need to check the fucking manual.. Get it now ?

Check my channle. I have 2 fucking 98 Jeep's. I just got a 5.9 and we have had a 4.0 for 10 years and ive done all the work to it for 5 of those. The 5.9 i changed the diff's, transfer case, engine oil, tranny fluid/filter, spark plugs. Tires everything....

  • @1ownjoo2 You are too funny, even newer vehicles without a dipstick tube may take more or less than spec. A lot of newer non-dipstick tube cars fill up similarly to a manual transmission or a differential. Fill from the bottom and within a certain tolerance to the fill hole, or fill up until it drains form the hole, of course dependent upon factory spec.

Congrats on you having a couple jeeps. I have an Audi 200 Turbo with 279k+ on the clock, an '03 GTI, and a '05 Crown Victoria. Your point...

  • @Steveo989

My point was to show you that I am mechanicly inclinced. I've done what this video is showing to my own vehicles many times. Of course i use dipstick's, but my point was not all vehicles have them so its best to look into the manual and base that on how much fluid to buy and fill up. Then check it, god people like you are way to sensative and ignorant .. Tough guy's

  • @1ownjoo2 - On this particular change, there was still fluid in the torque converter, so I wanted to make sure all was the proper level. : )

  • great video tanks, there no dealer ship im Angola Africa for jeep, its just DIY

    Tanks

  • @arturmercurio - Glad I could help! I bet you have to get pretty resourceful with no one around to help you figure stuff out!

  • @arturmercurio - Awesome - I will go watch it now! Thanks for the hook up in 411!

  • OK so you dropped the pan removed that Tranny oil in that area, and you changed the filter, but if you don't flush the fluid out you will ccontaminate your new fluid with the old. just take the extra time to do it right and do it once.

  • @ghosthunter007 - I wish I could have, but I don't have an expensive power flush system like dealers have. If there is a home brew way to do it, please share - I'd love to learn about it!

  • @jbrunsonjr Watch 10 Min Atomatic Transmission Fluid Flush +. Its a good youtube video, and yes automatic is spelled wrong.!!!!!!!!1

  • @jbrunsonjr - There is indeed a way to flush the transmission of all the old fluid and replace it with new fluid, right at home, without any need of an expensive flush machine. Send me a message with your e-mail address and I will e-mail you the instructions. If anyone else would like a copy, send me a message with your e-mail and I'll send it out to you.

  • thats rust from your rad! not mud! u dnt gotta lie 2 kick it!lol!na just playn good vid man!

  • Gloves??? Fraid a

    oil???

  • LOL, Yeah, I almost made a CW reference in regards to wearing them, but figured I'd play nice. I did do something on this that I have seen you do before that I never tried that I now love - wearing multiple layers so you can just rip one off and keep working. Thanks for the idea!! :D

  • @CORVAIRWILD - Automotive oils and fluids can contain carcinogens, (cancer causing agents), and it is very, very wise to wear gloves when handling said fluids. Only a fool wouldn't be afraid of *cancer*.

  • @HiTechOilCo I have some type of blister or pimple on my wrist, just above the glove line. Hmmm... Cancer from oil? you bet!!!

  • @CORVAIRWILD - You don't wear gloves because you're, "not afraid", of oil. Remember? :) Used motor oil is very toxic and is the most toxic substance in a typical auto center aside from sulfuric acid found in car batteries. The way I see it, there's more than enough things in life that are *intentionally* trying to get us without voluntarily poisoning ourselves.
