FF =/= Fungal.

Which immobilizes AND does some pretty significant damage; neural isn't even relatable.

All FF does is take advantage of your opponent's positioning, If your opponent doesn't make a mistake it doesn't do much/anything.

And of course a lot of Toss games are won through proper FF, because it's an ability that was designed to be near-essential to their playstyle...

ff doesnt take advatage of positioning, it forcefully MAKES an advantage in EVERY engagement. retreating early in a battle because u know u cant win it results in being cut off with ff, right decision leads to lose

sure u dont have to use it, but using it pretty much means winning

If you can be cut off beautifully by FF while trying to retreat, you fucked up your positioning.

You don't funnel your entire army into a tight space against a Toss then get angry when it gets cut in half and picked apart.

If you fight a toss army in a relatively open space FF almost always nothing some basic micro couldn't fix (And sometimes not even that much).

Same if you get a decent concave going.

its not about funneling, p just MAKES a funnel, ive seen ff spam in open areas, and they still work ridiculously well

An FF misclick can be deadly, especially if you have a decent number of zealots.

There's only one twitch away from that beautiful cut off and getting your zealot into an uncomfortable position or preventing you from pursuing properly.

Especially if the earlier game where every unit counts and you're facing something like a Marine or Roach ball, which can micro easier than a varied mix of Gateway units.

It doesn't happen as often as a good, or "useless" FF, but it's a possibility, most "spellcaster" abilities don't have a potential downside or inconvenience like that (Except for Storm).

LOL, no.

For one, Storm half kills zealots.

Therefore, if they're in a storm, AND taking enemy fire, they die.

Fast.

Secondly, you'd NEVER want to storm your own units even if Zealots could take it, you want to storm behind the zealots towards the back of the army, so they have to choose between taking maximum storm damage, or being funnelled into perfect position for gateway units to tear them up.

And in any open space storm is incredibly easy to dodge with no lag.

Regarding the quality: I also recently uploaded a couple videos via Twitch after streaming them, but managed to remedy the situation by removing them and uploading the locally recorded copies. That got me my 720p videos without the crazy artifacts. If you have xSplit (Adam's mentionned on stream before he uses it) and have it set up to save a local recording while streaming, I bet you could salvage the quality re-uploading those instead and avoid these complaints :P

The quality is as it is because this is a direct upload from twitch.tv. The stream was in 720p @ 3mbs which is better than Youtube's 720p but the conversion on Twitches end basically makes everything brutal. We didn't record these casts as there were so many the editing and rendering would have taken too long. I suggest not watching in full screen for your own sanity lol. [Adam]
