I just realized that most of the Megaman X-X6 air bosses are based off of the Tengu Man battle, with the exception being Storm Owl in X4.

-Storm Eagle and The Skiver have battles on stages in midair with places to fall off of.

-Tengu Man's ball of swirling wind attack resembles Storm Eagle's wind tunnel push and The Skiver's ram attack, which all try to push the player off the stage.

-After a flying attack, all three leave themselves open to attack by landing.

-Moreover, they all have a flying rush attack where they dash at you. The Skiver and Storm Eagle have an attack where they fly all around, much like Tengu Man's normal flight.

-They all use a tornado-like attack. Tengu Man uses tornado hold, The Skiver uses a growing tornado, and Storm Eagle creates a wind tunnel.

Morph Moth (X2) and Commander Yammark (X6) don't count because half of M.M.'s battle is on the ground, and Yammark only hovers and will stay at ground level if you do.

@phazonkirby1 They are winged mountain goblins or demons. There are two types, the Karasu (Crow) Tengu and the Yamabushi Tengu, the latter which Tengu Man is based upon. The long nose is a representation of arrogance, which is why many anime characters grow long noses when they start bragging. The red face is based upon Sojobo, the Tengu King.
