For how big the game is, the graphics are really good. In general however, they are a little lacking. Some areas look amazing though. Gaming right now (graphically) has two big problems in my opinion. Low res textures and bad anti aliasing. Especially on an HD tv. A tv that amplifies the horrible textures and jagged bullshit. You need to be like 30 feet away to enjoy it. If it wasn't for the impossibility of reading text and 4:3 I'd switch back to SD

@Mechelkip The only thing about not having water flow one way, is the HUGE amount of data needed to make the water look like its flowing, and keep the nice look. Thats why waterfalls are continous wheels, as it is much simpler than continously respawning a moving polygon structure.

I'm a fan of the PC version of many games, including this one. However, I think if someone doesn't have a capable PC it's definitely an accepted alternative (to me) to play a console version. A good rig or hardware update that can run Skyrim as well as a console can be somewhat expensive. The PC version of Skyrim is indeed a poor port from console, but because it's PC you can already download mods that will make the UI much more PC-friendly.

skyrim water is very uncanny and ugly. so ugly, it doesnt deserve the term "water". its nice when your camera is close to the water surface, and it gets worse the higher you are above IT.

IT does not fit into the rest of the scene. From the top of the mountain IT even fails to properly reflect the aurora and sky near the horizon, and both keep skipping back and forth.

while animation and bumpmapping are nice, its just reflecting too much light/sky and not reflecting enough surface/trees.
