  • The Broken Arrow review is a classic. Oddly enough, I liked the film.

  • I love Ebert, but I disagree with him about "The Mothman Prophecies" I thought it was very tense and well done film

  • "It may grow organically but I don't think it comes out of the story." - zing

  • these clips are hilarious but the background music is annoying.

  • He stuck to his guns (whatever that means) on Cop and a half... good job

  • 7:49 OMG right up there with some of the best critic quotes ever!

  • Love the way Gene says "WHAT?!" on 9:10!

  • 2:16 great Ebert line

  • I really like D.J. Qualls, and I always hoped he would make it big someday because he really is a funny guy , even in garbage like The New Guy

  • Kingdom Hearts music. Winnie the Pooh Ftw.

  • Roger Ebert wrote a wonderful book called "I Hated, Hated, HATED This Movie", and this is like watching the movie of that book. Thanks for posting these wonderful videos!

  • "Something may grow organically but I don't thik it comes out of the story." Ebert <3

  • @mviemkermick it's kinda tough to believe he got away with that, considering this was a Disney-owned show syndicated in large part to public tv stations. Maybe it was just too subtle.

  • Ebert looks at his watch and says, 'I believe the year is 2002' ! haha, unintentionally funny , at 7.00

  • I like how you use video games soundtracks for your clips...kingdom hearts

  • gene and roger were so funny,,, miss it

  • he's twisting his thumb! ahhhhhhhhhh!

  • 1:36 <----- LMFAO "How Ebert does a prank call"

  • @gr8tgoogelymoogely That happened to me once, maybe it was Ebert.

  • Best "Fun Times" video by far!

  • HEY!!! That music is from Kingdom Hearts!!!!! YEEEEAAAAAAHHH!!!

I'm so glad I've subscribed to you. :D

  • I love how siskel tries to get ebert to change his mind about cop and a half.

  • Ebert's descrip of Fled is so spot on. I saw it in the theatre but couldn't even describe what its about five minutes after the movie ended

  • How Richard Gere still appears in film blows me away. Maybe I answered my own question with the blows....

  • "What am I holding in my hand?"

    "...chapstick."

    More like shitstick!

  • I hated that little kid in Cop and a Half.

  • man i love these please make more!!

  • 7:47 "Something may grow organically but I don't think it comes out of the story." Haha! Ebert's the best!!

  • 8:30 NO GENE NOOOO :o

  • They've sat through so much mediocrity. Good thing they can laugh about it.

  • "Something's moving on the screen so you look at it."

  • I've forgotten...did you use any clips from their review of Firewalker in these videos?

  • "It's so bad it's bad."

    Classic Ebert line.

  • what with the background music? it's annoying.

  • @OscarMaris YES IA

  • Ellen DeGeneres's "Pal" LOL, I think thats hilarious

  • 2:47 wow that was without a doubt one of the worst jokes i've ever heard... note to self: skip The New Guy.

  • What most people fail to realize is that these are only opinions of two people. Just because they don't like a movie, or just because they like a movie, doesn't mean the movie is good or bad. I laughed at Freddy Got Fingered, but according to Ebert and Roeper, it was garbage.

  • that music was the music from kingdom hearts when ur in winny the poohs world

  • lulz i noticed as well my companion of sorts

  • ya its weird they used that music

  • COP AND A HALF? Wake up Ebert! Oh well, he's the best critic of all time.

  • Roger, say it ain't so! Cop and a Half. And you had a chance to retract and still didn't take it!

  • I wonder if that scene from Cop and a Half is where Parker & Stone got the inspiration for "Respect Ma Authoritaaa!"

  • what's that sound at 7:51?

  • @verchotaman It's from the clip from Broken Arrow they showed.

  • Talented in real life? LOL

  • "I mean, something is moving on the screen, so you look to see what it is" - This may be the best review quote I've ever seen\read.

  • @ProZnipaH LOL! I know. "What a compliment!"

  • Red digital readout bomb, hilarious

  • I actually saw the Mothman Prophecies. I certainly remember the bridge collapsing. It was supposed to be based on the collapse of the Silver Bridge in 1967. 46 people died, not 36.

  • grows organically? was that a BONER joke?

  • They're wrong about Mothman Profecies. Very underrated movie.

  • Ebert: "Something may grow organically, but I don't think it comes out of the story"

  • R.I.P. Siskel

  • I loved the review 4 I Know What You Did Last Summer.

  • "Anne Heche upstaged everyone in the film especially the fisherman. Nobody will every notice that fishing hat in a fishing town, well maybe they will in July." Classic!!

  • I actually read the Mothman Prophecies. I've never met another human being who has done so. Needless to say, I was really surprised when I learned a movie was being made based on the book by John Keel.

I would recommend the book. It's fun as long as one remembers it's all hokum, regardless of what Keel wants us to think.

  • The fact that I really didn't know anything about the true events behind Mothman Prophecies made it really creepy the first time I saw it.

  • What Ebert said ("It's got a lot of action and tech expertise and I guess it sort of holds your attention while it's happening") re: action sequences applies EXACTLY to the CGI crap that has destroyed movies today.

"The characters are simply puppets to provide an excuse" for the "golly gee whiz lookit what we can do!" for today's CGI lack-of-talent.

  • I have to say, you've captured some of the best interplay between Siskel and Ebert (especially in the last 30 seconds of this clip). Even when they disagreed they had such fun with it, and enjoyed each others reviews.

I know they keep trying to match critics on "wannabee" shows, but no one has ever matched the fun chemistry between Siskel & Ebert.

Thanks much for keeping this era alive.

  • Nice KH music.

  • "I'm thinking abut it right now!" I love Roger's deadpan delivery of lines like that. So sincere and so funny. I hope he gets his voice back someday.

  • Heh, Gene thought it was sweet, though. I loved the earlier video where Gene remarks "Always brunettes.. never blondes"!

  • he's just jealous

    lol i'm kiddin

  • Another good one is Boyfriends and Girlfriends.

  • "'Til There Was You" would be a fun one for a future compilation. I've laughed quite loudly at your videos. Siskel, Ebert and Roeper are great!

  • "Something grows organically, but I don't think it grows out of the script!"

  • LMAO

  • I recommend "The Amityville Horror" and "Blade 2" for a future video.

  • Thank you so much for these.

  • Can't get over the Cop and a Half thing. I think Cop and a Half was trashed by every single critic in the US, except Roger, and Gene never forgot that.

  • Gene never forgave Roger for liking Cop and a Half.

I have a suggestion for Fun Times 7: use some of the At the Movies clips firstmagnitude uploaded.

  • OMG I guess Roger's critical faculties became faulty earlier than I thought. But he is a fun critic, he just likes way too much trash. Like Roeper says, he's waay too kind.

  • Hey Clement, nice job, keep it up. Feel free to use some of the Roeper/Phillips reviews - some of those were hilarious.

  • "Remember Cop and a Half?", hahahahahaha, Broken Arrow was in 96, Cop and a Half in 93. Gene had that in mind for 3 years, hahahahahaha. That was truly a milestone for him.

  • Haha, Cop and a Half and Broken Arrow are two of my favorite S&E reviews.

  • Excellent compliation of S&E&R clips! Keep it up!

  • Please don't run out of clips sir. Keep making these things.

  • You need to keep this going indefinitely. I love these montages
