@pawelbalasz hehehe, when the Romans fought the Gaelic tribes in Europe, the legionairs often complained about the damage to their ears after battling against the Gaulles. Because they always made godawful noise with their war drums, horns and psychotic screaming.
Matte Modin was a bit more creative and slightly faster, but dominator is a lot more solid on the fills and blasts. His timing is like a computer/metronome and he hits so hard. He makes the whole band tighter in a way, I can't wait to hear the new line up!
@ottawadrummer I'm going to have to disagree with you on Modin being faster. Creativity is more an opinion thing, I didn't like Dark Funeral until Dominator joined the band because of his style, endurance, and creativity. This dude plays all of the old songs perfectly and his feet are definitely faster. I think the old drummer wasn't as solid or powerful.
@blackwell8181 excellent spoken sir. Everyone disagreeing should listen closely to the old stuff played by Modin. Take a look at 3:37 ! I love how fuckin fast he stops the cymbal from swinging. Also really nice would be 2:11 - 2:18 !
@666PeterH Lord Ahriman said he has been working on new material. I hope the new album isn't as bright in the high end sounds and the drums are more apparent so you can hear his awesome fills, but I'm also a drummer and Lord Ahriman is the guitarist hahah
send him to medieval ages ... and let him play some of that on battlefield .. enemy army would shit their pants ....
