  • What a cool song! I like this melody! It is very pretty!! Lovin' it in Texas! T:)

  • Thanks a lot ... I had a look at some of your videos ... really liked everything too that you're doing ... keep it going ... there in Texas... I've a good friend who hails from Texas .. lives in Grass Valley Ca ... all the best...

  • Brilliant !!

Who is this singing and what year?

No one sings it like Pecker Dunne though.

  • I go by sé and I did it last year sometime...I used Windows Movie Maker to get the effect of age in the film.

    Thanks for the compliment.

Yes, there was no one like the Pecker.

    All the best,

  • love this, the instrument and the voice, Isn't music just great - this song and tune which I recall of old, so many stories which are on-hold, untold!

    Thanks a-Cuchaia

  • @Khulanoo thanks so much. missed this a year ago. best wishes for the new yr. peace

  • Ah, I see what you mean. A family name. Thanks for letting me know that. I used to live in Galway, around Tubber ( on the main Gort - Ennis road ). Maybe I even met some Wards then.

    Thanks again.

    All the best,

    se

  • Not familiar with Wards but I lived around tinkers, travelers, gypsies growing up. Thanks for your comment. Thanks to the Pecker and may he remain an inspiration as the darkness falls.

  • The Wards were/are tinsmiths and horse traders in Galway and Mayo. Some great people.

  • Lets hear it for the Pecker, the greatest of living tinker singers. Sorry I'm not going to be politically correct. And God love the Wards too.

  • Great singing!

One of my favourite songs of all time. First heard it by the Dub's of course.

    Slainte!

  • Thank's Mr. Doyle. I first heard it on the Sweeney's Men album sung by Johnny Moynihan, a great rendition. Slán agus beannacht

  • Hey, is that a painting of Santa Claus in the back?

  • yea, that's him without the beard...

  • Very vibrant singing! Thank you.

  • It's the tinker in me...thanks, my friend

  • Great painting

  • Yes, it's ej's soul portrait of his nibs

  • Thanks. Yes, this one was done indoors, bare walls and wooden floors, so a bit harsh on the sound. I kinda like it though, the harsh quality to the sound - it seems to go with the general theme - tinkers - rough life, plus of course the Film Age, Oldest ( WMM ) etc. Also, I don't understand over-modulated - that term - I looked it up on Google and it sounds pretty complicated. Thanks for the observation though. I'm using a pretty inexpensive camera and Windows Movie Maker...so ...

  • a little feedback 4 ya - no pun intended! the audio is a bit over-modulated on this one but the hiss distortion is less - they just keep getting better - enjoyed. thank you!
