I think folders are good for base utility in a combat zone. But other then that no, a good example is one time in the sand box i was putting a ziptie on a detainee, and i needed my left hand quick, but i did not want to risk the danger of cutting the detainee with the D-2 Ka Bar in my hand, so i popped her in her sheath that was inverted so the handle was upside down on my MOLLE, moral of the story is. Folders in actual combat are stupid. Only carried one on the FOB or the rear. Semper Fi
