@MrSeanrlegend , I will be taking the body off to completely paint the frame and other components, because I want to. I made all the body panels removable. They bolt onto the frame without bonding.
Ron i n oticed you have the lambo replica engine cover. i have a completed car from exotic illusions with the fiero engine. can you give me any guidance on installing the replica engine cover,
Well naturally I am biased to start with - but few others could re-engineer something to such perfection! Congratulations Ron. I do so hope I get back there to take a drive in the finished vehicle... it's so far superior to the original in every way.
The hinges bolt securely to the decklid with two bolts so they don't move and the flat cut into the bolt on the end of the arm with the 1/8" flat "key" prevent rotation along with the tightened nut. The spherical bearings can not mis-align or allow lateral movement with everything tightened. The spherical bearingd DO provide a perfect, non-binding hinge centerline between the two sphere centers so the bolts they are on do not have to be in perfect alignment.
do you have to take the body kit off again for it to be painted?

Very nice work but wouldn't it have some unwanted lateral movement with that type of hinge?
This is going to be the best lambo replica around,maybe even better than the original car.
