Errors occur if you have used tiny umbrella before. You need to download the latest tiny umbrella, Go to advanced tab, and uncheck set hosts to cydia on exit. Restart and it should work.

I just have installed iOS 5 but on itunes 10.4.1.10 , and now when I want to restore it says I can't couse I don't have itunes 10.5 running. The itunes exe from the link u posted for windows 32 bit is incomplete my winrar says and it won't install. U got an mirror for me?

@chaosbugg Oh right I see. You're trying to restore from your backup. There are plenty of other resources for the iTunes beta out there. Just Google 'download itunes 10.5 beta 7'.

@wallsyboy76 I ve got a problem i want to update my ipad 2 to ios 5 gm but when i go to back it up itunes says "Itunes could not back up your ipad" that's why i can't restore to ios 5 because i don't want to lose all the data i have on it...

@TheJohnReaper How many backups do you have stored by iTunes? To check, got to Edit - Preferences and then click on the Devices tab. Sometimes if you have loads, it gets clogged up. Delete all but the most recent (you don't want to lose that), restart both iPad and computer and try again. This always seems to work for me.

so i ran the tss server in tiny umbrella and i got a lot further in the restore in itunes but now im getting a 1604 error and when i open itunes back up to try again it says my phone is in recovery mode and must restore before using phone with itunes i click ok on the message but the message wont go away and i cant click to do the restore

@jteals go into tiny umbrella and click exit recovery mode, make sure you have quite itunes before that. it helped me get out of recover mode

@HijackingAsian right click it, choose "rename" and highlight the .dmg and type in ".ipsw" and it will change
