I dont think words can describe how wonderful cocoa is. We saw dolphins aswell, on the sunset cruise and swimming past the jetty (arrival jetty). We really loved a double sunbed tucked behind a palm next to the pool area, we had the beach and pool area all to ourselves on a number of days.
Pure paradise !!!!!!!
ps did you buy the Book 'island of my dreams',
we have ours open on our coffee table, it make me want to return asap !!!!????
Do you mean one of the books in the villa? I didn't even know it was available. We read it several times though. After returning, I wrote a detailed travel diary with many pictures taken and post it on MaldivesToGo. But it is in Chinese though. I also wrote one for TripAdvisor in English.
Cocoa Island has set the bar so high for us that we have to be choosy for our return. We are heading back early next month. This time, it will be Soneva Gili. But Cocoa Island will certainly see us again.
Once we swam with a giant turtle over the shllow reefs. It overtook us slowly from behind. And on the edge of the big dropoff, once in a while there were turtles swimming down below. And as we saw and confirmed by others, a family of dolphins swim past the jetty daily in the early morning. What a place!
Wow, I'd love to go their now, its all so pretty,
I went scuba diving in Sharm el sheikh Egypt and saw a titan triggerfish, but we didnt see any dolphins or turtles =(
