  • i learned piano when i was 7 and i left to learn guitar and bass. Now i am 19 and i regret for not lookin at this awesome instrumen for 10 years. Its time to go back and remember what i forgot.

  • awsome playing

  • Very nicely done. I haven't played piano in a while. Maybe I'll use this method to get back into it. Hopefully I'll do as well as you did here.

  • Thank you for posting! This is excellent for self-taught piano players like myself!

  • Nice and relaxing like always!! Hey, how about you play Autumn leaves!!

  • i love this but i wish you didn't cut off the end so early! i wanted to appreciate the resonance of the ending tones!

  • I do prefer this layout the best with music score on the top and all the goodies on the bottom. This is how we grew up from the beginning and when things are somewhere else, then, I feel like having to start all over again, from day one or somewhere inbetween. I different take on this and it was nice.

  • This one too ... ;-)

  • Forgive me! Even this one can be sung! Wolf

  • Anything specific you work on for your drop 2 voicings?

  • I don't know about Doug but I can suggest Dancing on the Ceiling. Any tune with a basic rising and/or falling melody is good to practice block chord type stuff.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • Great! Very instructive as usual. Thank you Doug!

  • Looks and sounds great. Another McKenzie classic. I really enjoy the way both hands compliment each other perfectly to give a balanced performance.

  • This is absolutely Beautiful!

  • Nicely done but I thought that you covered over the song a little too much with your playing. I didn't even begin to recognize the song as being Mood Indigo until maybe the last minute of the video. And I know this song quite well. Maybe that was your intention? Anyways, nice job.

  • 1. I need a guitar light up with tabs.

    2. Gotta be a way to convert the video also for guitar while ya play piano.

    3. Need a converter in the side bar menu for guitar tabs and notes and a picture.

  • You should learn to read music. Playing jazz without being able to read or write it down is asmost impossible.

  • Well no but tab is just unpractical. Errol Garner and Chet Baker couldn't read music iirc. Not entirely sure about Chet though to be honest.

  • What superphilipp said, and also, everything played on a piano isn't always physically possible on guitar.

  • Yeah, that's what I gathered.

  • It won't help you. You have to understand basic music theory first, and for that you'll have to read music anyway.
