This is the original version. Waylon Jennings produced this in 1972. The cover version is with Willie Nelson and was recorded live.

actually, the live version was still just Waylon. Willie's voice and Waylon's intro, "Willie!" were over-dubbed later. You can hear the hiccup in the record halfway through the first verse.
