I think Marcia Langton has some interesting veiws but, i do find her a little sinister if you will (Imenja77 - 1 yr ago). What I have read, it seems she has certain singular objectives. I too, wish Marcia Langton has support of Aboriginal communities who we all must listen too more closely. I am more inclined to listen to Noel Pearson. Moreover I want to listen to everyday people such as Frank Wells, Mark Lockyer, Barabara Shaw and June Mills. These people are talking - is Australia listening?
it is well acknowlegded that free societies produce & engage in a far beta maner than those of peoples not free. Aboriginal australia is not free & haven't been since invasion.Marcia made the very silly statement advocating those who stand against the intervention support the status quo; never been da case. She is a sinister tyrant, not a rational clear thinking eg. of intellect. Is it suprising kids r voiceless & ignored or reflective of the way da ppl hav bin. Paternalism is the common theme
You would. obviously you dont have to live the reality of it. Free demnocracy is waht civilization prides itself on, but such hypocracy is delivered in real politiks.
In the light of the total failure of the Rudd government to create & then apply evidence based policy over the past 2 years (see latest COAG report) & not to forget the bipartisanship they promised in their overall responsibility for 'Indig-affairs' I hardly think Marcia Langton can be blamed for this failure. Speaking from personal experience the protection laws were much more sinister than anything ML is advocating.
Marcia Langton is an incredibly sinister woman. She has played a role in the re application of protection board tactics on Aboriginal people. She does not have the support of the community, only the support of the media and elites-which is not surprising really.

I support anyone advocating child protection at any cost- be it ideological, political or otherwise. They are otherwise voiceless, and thus ignored.
