@Playlanco I'd say more close to real world dlc than drm. It's not like the figures deactivate and will prevent you from ever playing, however not having certain figures does restrict content from you.
I dunno, I'm still cool with this game. The figures are well detailed, and the characters are all pretty cool.
I gotta admit, they did a very good attempt at the whole 'Video Games to Real Life' thing. Shame that the game itself wasn't very innovative. Still really fun, though.

I think that spyro was added in just so that it would have a known Charcter in its line up of figures. The Villan Kaos is fun becuse it is the same voice actor and voice as invader Zim
I've only played the original Spyro the Dragon for the PlayStation. This one looks completely different. It's amazing what 14 years can do for a character.
@adam18man The main Story Mode you can beat in less than a week, however there's loads of stuff to do besides that, like finding all the hidden treasures and unlockables, completing all the achievements, making your Skylanders learn new attacks e.c.t, e.c.t. There's also a special bonus level for every Skylander. I'd say this is worth a buy if your one of those people who love going for 100% (like me) but if not, I'd skip it, at least until the hype wears off and it comes down in price a bit.
This is so hard for me to get because I'm married and im like 30 lol.
It's gonna take a heck of a convincing for my wife to even buy "another game" but toys? lol I i sorta hope they will release the game with all the chars WAY in the future when the game seems dies down a bit on sales.

I bought this game yesterday, played it, and returning it today.
Reasons:
1) Can't jump. What kinds of game is a game is you can't jump!? Most games these days, your character can jump. How can the developers or whatever make this game, without jumping included!?
2) Lose the 'Portal of Power', lose the game. The 'Portal of Power' is the HEART of the game, basically.
3) Want more characters? SPEND ABOUT $15 FOR JUST ONE. Too pricey for me.

Being 18, I would not get this game under normal circumstances. Since my elementary-age brothers got it for Christmas however, I cannot get enough. Not quite like the old Spyro, but still a really fun dungeon crawler kind of game.

It costs (Current price of ind figurines of 7.99) $231.71 before tax (29 figurines) If you buy most of the characters in 3 packs (cost of 19.99 so you get around $3.99 off from buying three together and that assumes you don't get repeats) is $179.91 then you have to buy the last 2 figurines cause 29/3 isn't even so the 'cheaper' cost is $195.89.
However I don't know if you need ALL 29 figurines to have a complete game. Add 60$ on top of that for the game.

@ShiningWolf1992 I actualy thought that one of the PS2 Spyro games that Sierra made was better than the 3 PS1 games made by Insoniac can't remember what the title was but I considerd it a mix between Yakuza and Panzer Dragoon Siera did a better job with the Spyro series than Vendi Universal and yet they still happen to be dispised by Spyro fans my question is Why?

What happened to the lovable-badass purple dragon that we all used to know and love when we were younger? ... God, he looks like a smashed bug or something nowadays.
Even though this game is not in my cup of tea, this game can be better off without Spyro.

does the 3ds version have all the characters? if so, damn that would definitely be the way to go. I like buying things ONE TIME, for some reason. Still, it's amazing all the ways companies are making additional bank these days... this industry has EXPLODED!!!!

It costs (Current price of ind figurines of 7.99) $231.71 before tax (29 figurines) If you buy most of the characters in 3 packs (cost of 19.99 so you get around $3.99 off from buying three together and that assumes you don't get repeats) is $179.91 then you have to buy the last 2 figurines cause 29/3 isn't even so the 'cheaper' cost is $195.89.
However I don't know if you need ALL 29 figurines to have a complete game. Add 60$ on top of that for the game.
