My parents used to take me there when I was a small child, the scale of it all,and the noise was something that struck awe and fear into me!,needless to say I have always loved our industrial past and I cannot wait to take my young kids to see the engines too!
I'd like to echo F E Stanley's comments, national treasure indeed.
It's a wonderful place run by such friendly people. I showed up one Sunday on the dot of half five having totally misjudged the traffic and they were kind enough to give me a personal tour of the entire place - It made my September, let alone my day!!
Kew Bridge Pumping Station is a national treasure. I started helping out there as a volunteer back in 1975 and worked on all the engines in your video.
