I think its really awesome that you made a video stating abut "no rules" b/c...in all honesty...any ED video could be a ..dum dum dum.........."TRIGGER"!
unfortunately, gaining weight is often part of recovery. recovery also is not all about the weight. it has a lot to do with how you deal with things and learning to take care of yourself in many ways, once your weight is restored and you are eating better.
Throwing out the "rules" is all good. You have a valid point...Everyone should know that triggers will occur at some point when watching ED videos.
Don't hide info from your Nutritionist. It's a waste of time and money. If you aren't going to be honest, don't bother going!
I went into that hypermetabolic mode while in treatment. I actually dropped lower then when I went in. It kinda sucked bc I was kept on the ward a lot longer! YUCK! You are & do look underweight. Its your ED talking
lol this has to be the cutest video ive seen in a long time... if you don't remember, im the unicorn story author... LOL!! anyways, just letting you know that i TOTALLY get you, and we could be twins in our randomness and our eds. however the ideal solution would be just not to have eds in the first place! a bit late for that eh? anyways, ttyl fellow formspringer! oh do you have twitter?
No rules are good sometimes. and like you said if you're looking at videos involving eating disorders then you will run into things like this.
I'm the same height as you; well, I think 5'1", so half an inch. I think you look good. Is that bad of me to say? I mean like "low weight" idealism and I guess "normal" people think that is low. I don't know. Does that make sense?
I kinda like no rules...lol. I guess I am in a better place b/c it didn't trigger me this time. You are kinda lucky though my treatment team would kill me if i weighed that. But if you go by the 5lbs for every inch rule I'm 5'3'' and 100 so not so much different
Haha...Sarah...not a waste of time. Your diet sounds reasonable to me.
Oh, did you ever tell us how tall you are? For some reason I'm thinking you said under 5 foot, but I just don't remember. Now if you are 3 foot tall and your BMI is 15, well, then what's to worry...haha.
Now I'm wondering if you need more than over-the-counter help for your poison oak/ivy stuff? Off subject for your nutritionist, but maybe she has some advice when you see her.
@tommax26 I'm 5'0 ½, so that would give me a bmi of 16.6. The poison stuff on my arm is starting to go down, it's just like dripping constantly with yellow fluid -- i guess that's the "poison" and what made it so big and puffy. I'm just worried my leg will do the same thing.
Stay strong girl. You are such an incredibly strong person and such an inspiration! Body image wise- remember that eating disorder messes up your self-image. BMI wise- if you don't have muscle, then the BMI is a more accurate way to go. It is the muscle that messes things up and makes BMI higher than what you really look like. Olympic sprinters- pure muscle- are considered morbidly obese as far as BMI is concerned. I love how you are so honest. I love your videos girl!
what a horrible voice
