Believe it or not, incredible as it might seem, women attend political conferences - wait for it - because THEY ARE POLITICAL ACTIVISTS!

I know that might be hard to believe.. but it's true!

@GREGORYABUTLER I don't think anybody denies there are female conservatives, or even really attractive female conservatives. The reason people are kind of skeeved is the way the videographer is singling them out like they're aliens. The general meme is that the Republican party is mostly straight white guys. That doesn't mean there aren't other types there, but they're frequently marginalized. Or, in the case of CPAC Co-Sponsor GoProud, outright insulted.

That was my point - perhaps I wasn't clear. This guy seemed to think that the sole reason those women were there was to "meet hot conservative boys" (a category he - apparently - included himself in)

@GREGORYABUTLER And a category which he is probably not a member of. hahahah I consider myself a conservative (fiscally at least), but I often get classed as liberal simply because of some of the social issues I believe in. A lot of this kind of crap really turned me away from conservatist orgs in general. Sad sad.

Yeah... you don't see him on camera, so indeed, he may not be in that category at all (that is, he IS a "conservative boy" ...not so sure about the hot part)

Of course, considering the history of closeted behavior in the conservative movement, perhaps HE was the one looking for "hot conservative boys" (perhaps he should check the men's room, and look for men with a "wide stance")
