QUICK TIPS 4IDIOTS : Atheists are just non-religious??????? Strained definitions...??????? Are you fuckin kidding me? The only thing it means is that you do not believe in a god!!! I fucking dispair if these are the people fighting our cause.
Man... I was really trying to listen to you speak, but I kept trying to read the cartoons in the background. And they weren't even complete. Now I'm left wondering what the punchlines could have been. Wondering... just wondering.
What about Induction Fallacy? What about all the epistemological ideas that suggest how our knowledge is only limited to our beliefs ? If the idea of God is untestable wouldn't agnosticism be more appropriate ? We know what God isn't but how can we say with absolute certainty what God is? If we define the features of God, aren't those features subjective ? And how can we say that there is no such thing as eternity or eternal beings? Does existence of universe violate the law of causality.
@gotzJazzhandz if religion had factual evidence that it existed then it wouldn't be a religion it would be a fact. Religion needs to be unproven for it to exist, that is its greatest strength and flaw.
@ProDCloud You just proved that religion is made up.You can't give evidence to a superstitious belief attributed to natural phenomenon. Back in the day people didn't have science so their minds were primitive they didn't know what thunder was so they thought up stuff because they didn't know the science behind weather. They believed in a thought and tried to make it a reality ...and now every one believes in that primitive thought that illogical explanation for the natural world.
@dylan111291 Yes i agree that's why i believe religious institutions are lead by people who take advantage over them, because no one can really define or say there is a god, alternate existence, or origin for other people. I do believe however that everything has an origin/purpose and that everyone should be free to define what the origin means to themselves....even if they don't believe in an origin at all.....
@ProDCloud There is an origin, what that origin is, thats nearly impossible to ever figure out, and the longer it takes the less of a chance there is to figure it out.
However, the existence of nothing but god b4 the world brings up zeno's paradox in which infinite regression kicks in. If something can't be created out of nothing. And god made the universe who made him, who made the guy that made him, etc.
God is illogical, but theres a logical explanation. The answer is B he doesn't exist

The only person that can be an atheist is God himself. To say 'There is no God.' requires one to know all things, to be all places at the same time, and have all power. Thus, you would have to be omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Atheism is absurd and self-refuting.
The "first Causation" of our universe CANNOT be refuted, the only real question is what exactly is this "First Cause"?
Information never develops apart from intelligence, yet cells contain huge amounts of information. I believe this is the most important single evidence that life came from the mind of an intelligent Creator rather than from 'dumb' chemicals.
The machinery by which the celltranslates the code consists of at least fifty macromolecular components which are themselves coded in the DNA. Thus the code can not be translated except by using certain products of its translation
This constitutes a baffling circle; a really vicious circle, it seems, for andy attempt to form a model or theory of the genesis of the genetic code.

@at987ta the same argument can be made for the man in moon, or any of the gods that humans have made. Which god are you talking about about when you refer to god? Is it Zeus, Thor, Odin? How can we disprove any of these? Therefore, according to your logic, you must believe all gods are real.
@ramette99 The God of the Bible uses prophecy. He declares He will do something such as have Cyrus release the Jews from Babylon. Then God makes it happen. Also He gives faith to some to believe in Christ. These are the ones who's names He wrote (before he created the world) in the Book of Life.
@at987ta I'm sorry you couldn't see the point I was trying to make. I have a question for you. Why don't you believe any of the other gods are real? Because there's no evidence for them? The same is true of your god.
@ramette99 I can only believe in the triune God of scripture because God has given me faith. Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;... Christianity is a truth revealled to the elect of God. Luke 10:21 ..."I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight."
@at987ta quoting from the bible as evidence is really circular. Muslims could do the same by quoting the Koran, and I'm sure they do. Or wizards could quote from Harry Potter and say that proves magic is real. If your only evidence is a man-written book, you've got nothing.
@ramette99 The bible is loaded with the truth of the good news that God saves some from eternal torment this is good news to those who have faith. Holy Spirit influenced men to pen the bible. God's concepts transferred thru the writers He created. Also God let's us know in the bible that He says the world and heavens are evidence of His creative work.
@at987ta Atheists believe in provable facts. Atheists believe that reason should define their existences. Your asking "what do atheists believe in" is just another example of the fact that religious people are incapable of thinking outside of the box. We don't "believe" in any higher power, necessarily. But because you do, you can't fathom what it's like to believe in only what you see. :)
I hate that dawkins point.
it feels like a cheap talkingpoint, feels like dawkins was really happy about how clever he was after he said it......

@gotzJazzhandz Religion is based on faith which means it doesn't need proof because if it did then there would be no point in religion.

God is, was, and always will be.
He is a spirit that created the universe and everything in the universe. God is not the universe.
