very beautiful, perfect performance, she is surely well trained, she did it as if it was nothing, and i love the musicians... it s so hard to get really well sung bharatanatyam music... well done!
The performance definitely reminds of Lord Rama, even though I don't see a bow and arrow to depict Lord Ram. The performance allows me to see the music instruments being played, and the personality of Sri Rama through dancing form. The dancer shows good knowledge of movements, moods, facial expressions, and I could relate her as the divine. This performance is impressive. I liked the the dancing a lot. Bravo for Dhriti Vaidyanathan!
could u pls also tell me more whose choregraphy is this? i like it much more than what i learned. it is more joy and rich in color this one! esp the jatis. and mudra-hasta are very very nice too.
thank you ! i like the dancer she is light and beautiful at the same time. and she makes me understand how to honor Rama through bharatanatyam 's language. Really nice. and i like Hariprasad, too. is it possible to have the dancer's whole name? thank u again.
The dancer is Dhriti Vaidyanathan and she got her diploma in Bharatanatyam and Natya Visharadh (Kalakshetra style) from SIFAS in Singapore. Hariprasad is a renowned accompanist for dances and is a great singer.
It is in praise of Lord Rama (an incarnation of Vishnu) from the Ramayan- the song basically praises the exemplary qualities, heroic deeds, and the majestic personality of Sri Rama in its verses. All Indian dance is devotional in nature and is in praise of deities. Hope this helps! It is interspersed with pure dance passages.
thank you so much for uploading new videos =) i appreciate it...K. Hariprasad is an amazing singer...and this dancer, Dhriti I believe? shes amazing also
