I read many of the comments and find myself feeling a little sick. First off lets just look at who makes the laws, why they are made, and who makes the most money from the laws made? Why is it we treat people who will risk their lives, as well as their loved ones for a better life as if they are criminals, and let our politicians, banks, etc.... steal from tax payers? Why is it if you are a real criminal, (commit murder, rape, abuse, etc..) your feed great meals, books to read, t.v., etc...

Oakdale Detention Center in Louisiana is just as bad! The inmates are charged for everything if they have no money no toothbrushes, no nothing. They can earn 1 dollar a day for working eight hours. They don't take care of sick inmates and they make it hard for them to get any help by not allowing or shutting off phone calls whenever they feel like it.
