this is so sad, i'm played the silent hill 1, and harry mason encared very scary monsters and not abandoned the daughter, this is so sad, harry mason arrisqued your life to save your daughter, and dahlia kill harry, i think the pyramid head tortured the harry mason, or dahlia.

@weiliam1990 Yes.And no.When SH1 came out they would not make a second one so they put multiple endings since the story idn't matter that much.You could have these ending:1)Kill Cybil and your daughter 2)Save Cybil kill your daughter 3)Kill Cybil save your daughter and see Kaufman dieing 4)Get abducted by aliens lol So,after that they saw it became famous and made a second one which had a new story not so relevant to SH1.But there were dislikes that led eventually to the story of SH3...
also poor choice in music yes Room of Angels is a fantastic song but the lyrics and theme of it does not go well or do justice to Harry a man who went to the deepest part of the hell known as Silent Hill to save his daughter that isn't even blood related but still loved her like she was his own
@TimeBomb014X I thought the same at the first moment, but the sadness in this music, and that part where Mary Elizabeth sings "Here's a lullaby to close your eyes" was more than enough by the time for me to put this song on the video!
@Firrodrigolosofia ahah yeah i see what you mean and true the part is good for this scene but lines likes "it was always you that i dispised ", "i don't feel enough for you to cry " just doesn't go well for this scene, i don't know that's how i feel cause i've recently played Silent Hill 1 for the first time like a couple months ago and than i found out he died in 3 and i just feel sad for harry
my friend thinks its kauffman. The hair on harry seems to be black, but it might just be the lighting. The eyes are very, very dark like kauffman. (LOL, kauffman wear black make-up)
I was very saddened by the death of Harry. It is as if hours and hours of gaming I've had in a Silent Hill, had just at that exact moment he died. I know this is the style of the game, but even so, I wish it would have been something more decent for a character who is a legend in the gaming world of horror. Should have at least shown his face.
You said this is the soundtrack SH1, but I never heard this song in the game, and even found it on youtube, just heard on the SH4.
The texture is so pure. I mean....he looks like he really is dead. I mean...he's pale aside from the blood lolz. I see the veins and everything. Interesting. I always thought that scene reminded me of a reference of Silent Hill 2 (man's death by static tv symbolizing Jame's future death.
I´ve seen similar pics - well the same face and same expression but from different angles and from diff. websites, so i suppose its not a fake. I think konami wanted to show his face but then they decided no to...and similarity with james is obvious...but its not the only similarity, is it? ;)

i think he left himself killed by the monster-not-so-important, cuz he knowed that he was cheryl`s weakspot, as long as he lived he knowed that they could convince cheryl to give god to birth, kidnaping harry and blackmailing her, so he didn`t wanted that(oh come on, after leaving silent hill, and knowing cheryl is the "mother of god" did you really thought he wasn't prepared T_T). also, he was aware that his love to cheryl was too strong, that he maybe cried before dying.
@hyugafans also, he knewed that his death may give strenght to cheryl to live on and fight againts the cult os samael, to revenge his death, also that you couldn't kill that f*ck*ng b*tch!!! DX!.

i'm sure they didn't show it because it gives the game some sort of mystery as to 'heather's true self'. in the end you know her dad was harry and you can put together that's who was killed.

you never know what could happen to someone who's asleep. I could imagine him waking up to a sharp pain and seeing the monster gutting him... if you let your guard down, anything can happen... besides, thats the only way that they COULD kill Harry :P

@snipermex1 as I said in another video, The way I like to think it happened is Harry has a radio on and it starts crackling. He immediately recognizes the sound and has a 'this is it' face as he goes up to the roof to investigate. There, Claudia sends at least forty powerful monsters, which Harry kills all but one, which manages to get a sucker hit in as it runs. Mortally wounded, Harry returns to his chair to slowly bleed out an reminisce on the good times
...he looks kinda.... sad and depressed... just like he knew that day would come... it was no surprise for Harry. Poor Harry, just wanted a normal life with his daughter.
Sadest moment in SH3, I guess everyone who started with the first game loved Harry in some ways. Me, for example, I kinda grew up with SH (when it was released I was 9 or 10 years old).
After Harry´s death I couldn´t play SH3 for about 3 months because I was so angry about konami letting one of my fav die like THAT T.T
We'll relive Harry Mason greatness in Silent Hill Shattered Memories. If the song, "Room of Angel", was played when I saw the Harry Mason death scene, I would have made the tissue companies richer than Bill Gates!

Yes she did. The real ending is that she never made it out. She's mentioned in Silent Hill Homecoming. Not by name, but they talk about a cop who went to Silent Hill and she never came back and disappeared completely.
ahhh no! maybe thats why in SH 3 healther never mentions alessa giving the baby to her dad and cybil i though i saw the ending where both harry and cybil running away i really hope shes not dead but then again 17 years without food or water but then again some areas of SH does have water u know i just hope shes alive somewhere
Also, SH4 revealed that SH2's James Sunderland disappeared. That doesn't mean he died either. Cybil could have simply left town and changed her identity. As you can see, Claudia tracked down Harry and had him killed for revenge because he ruined The Order's plans. There's a good chance that The Order tried to track down Cybil as well. She did help Harry after all.
Sorry to disappoint you but Cybil is NOT officially dead. The Lost Book of Memories made it clear that her fate is ambiguous. Silent Hill writer Hiroyuki Owaku said that what happened to Cybil AFTER the events of SH1 is left to players' imaginations. The book also says that Harry once again found red liquid for the sake of Heather. He had to have used it on Cybil since he needed to find more red liquid. The amount Heather had is a lot smaller than the red liquid in SH1.
17 years after the original Silent Hill goings on and he still hasn't changed his jacket!? Oh Harry, I am disappoint!

@ardea8909 duuurrrr they used a pc version of the game and downloaded a camera hacker. It allows you to see pretty much anything in the game.

you never know what could happen to someone who's asleep. I could imagine him waking up to a sharp pain and seeing the monster gutting him... if you let your guard down, anything can happen... besides, thats the only way that they COULD kill Harry :P

@snipermex1 as I said in another video, The way I like to think it happened is Harry has a radio on and it starts crackling. He immediately recognizes the sound and has a 'this is it' face as he goes up to the roof to investigate. There, Claudia sends at least forty powerful monsters, which Harry kills all but one, which manages to get a sucker hit in as it runs. Mortally wounded, Harry returns to his chair to slowly bleed out an reminisce on the good times

Sadest moment in SH3, I guess everyone who started with the first game loved Harry in some ways. Me, for example, I kinda grew up with SH (when it was released I was 9 or 10 years old).
After Harry´s death I couldn´t play SH3 for about 3 months because I was so angry about konami letting one of my fav die like THAT T.T

Maybe he was really rotten after 17 years,

Yes she did. The real ending is that she never made it out. She's mentioned in Silent Hill Homecoming. Not by name, but they talk about a cop who went to Silent Hill and she never came back and disappeared completely.

ahhh no! maybe thats why in SH 3 healther never mentions alessa giving the baby to her dad and cybil i though i saw the ending where both harry and cybil running away i really hope shes not dead but then again 17 years without food or water but then again some areas of SH does have water u know i just hope shes alive somewhere

No, to get the games Great Ending, Cybil has to be killed off. That's the game's true ending. She's dead.

Also, SH4 revealed that SH2's James Sunderland disappeared. That doesn't mean he died either. Cybil could have simply left town and changed her identity. As you can see, Claudia tracked down Harry and had him killed for revenge because he ruined The Order's plans. There's a good chance that The Order tried to track down Cybil as well. She did help Harry after all.

Sorry to disappoint you but Cybil is NOT officially dead. The Lost Book of Memories made it clear that her fate is ambiguous. Silent Hill writer Hiroyuki Owaku said that what happened to Cybil AFTER the events of SH1 is left to players' imaginations. The book also says that Harry once again found red liquid for the sake of Heather. He had to have used it on Cybil since he needed to find more red liquid. The amount Heather had is a lot smaller than the red liquid in SH1.
