  • I will probably be visiting there this summer!

  • the look on the guys face at 22:55 is priceless. Hes like LOL dumbass

  • host is a duche.

  • twit, poor name choice

  • I wonder if the workers get to build their own ford and keep it for free or if they just get to drool and settle for a GM vehicle lol

  • I ordered a 2012 F-150 Raptor and it's scheduled to be built in this plant this week. Amazing to see how it's built, I wish there was a video showing the entire build process. I can't believe they built all the different F150 variations all at once, I would have bet anything they built all the special editions in single runs. Seems so complex to built 7 or 8 different styles with so many combinations of options all at once.

  • Do you remember those Nissan commercials with an old Asian guy ? If that guy was the CEO of the Ford Motor Company then that truck facility will be an empty lot and all these pickup trucks will be shift production to Canada at a Ford facility that made the Crown Victoria because of his view of meeting higher standards of quality for those trucks killing 100% of the working crew in Dearborn by shifting 100% of Dearborn's production to St.Thomas, Ontario Canada.

  • 29:36 watch Leo do a twirl!

  • The interviewer needs to learn to let to ford reps speak and let them explain the process and stop interrupting them with coments that he knows very little to nothing about.

  • Was just at the plant yesterday - amazing tour!

  • Shilling in the name of...

  • I've been pronouncing Rouge as 'Rogue'. Derp-derp.

    Great video, Leo!

  • Man cannot live by digital technology alone

  • Leo seems more than a little out of his element!

  • I hope you can do more things like this for TWiT specials. It's really interesting to see tech in motion.

  • i have seen a brand new honda plant that makes civics

  • Huh...so that what it looks like in an appliance factory...

  • @sho942000 Why would you waste time out of your life to watch a video on something that you hate so much? I don't understand why someone who hates Ford so much wastes so much time worrying about it. I believe there is something wrong with someone when they have an obsession as you do. You hate the Ford Motor Company more then any person I have ever known or seen on the Internet, however you are so obsessed it seems to occupy your every waking minute.

  • @yamajammer76

Wow...a few posts on You Tube and you automatically come to the false conclusion that I HATE FMC.

    Well...you couldn't be more wrong.

  • @sho942000 I have NEVER seen you post one thing that is positive about Ford nor do you ever post anything that is negative about another manufacturer. Face it you are a big GM fan. Why don't you waste your time putting positive comments on all the GM videos instead of displaying your total hatred of Ford. I have seen your posts all over the Internet. If it is a positive story about Ford you will do whatever you can to tear it down. If it is something negative about GM you look the other way

  • @yamajammer76 If you have never seen me post one positive thing about Ford...then you clearly haven't seen me post "all over the internet"

Quit reaching for things that are not there. I am not a "big" GM fan...I do like their products, but they are not out of the woods yet. I like all makes. Hyundai, Mercedes, Pagni, GM, Chrysler, Honda, Nissan, BMW, Porsche, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Volvo, Ferrari, BMW, VW, Audi, Holden, Vauxhaull, etc.

Quit lying to try and make a point. It's not effective

  • @sho942000 Haha I noticed your list included everything except Ford. Don't try to pretend your a different person Matt. Your the same old Matt with different user names all over the Internet. I don't know why you can't just admit that you hate all of Ford's "appliances" as you call them and move on. The rest of the companies you list build just as many appliances as Ford. The F-150 is an appliance however I bet you think the Silverado has the heart and soul of a race car!

  • @yamajammer76

I also didn't mention Koenigsegg either...

You are a liar...lying is the only way your arguments have a chance of being taken seriously.

And yes...a Silverado with the 6.2 does have the soul of a race car...a Corvette ZR1.

And I don't hate all Fords...there are many I like. And if you would pull your head out of your ass...and actually look at some of my posts "all over the internet", you would see that.

  • @sho942000 Just as I figured the Silverado with the 6.2L is like a race car, but the Ford with a 6.2L is a gutless boat anchor. Your just upset because you are trying to pretend to like Ford and you hate it when people blow your cover. Anyhow have a nice day driving around in your Government Motors product. I hope GM makes it, but if they need more money in the future to be saved I won't be in support of it. Ford took some government loans too, but not nearly as much as GM.

  • @yamajammer76

More lies. Where did I say that a Ford with a 6.2 is a quote "gutless boat anchor"?

  • @sho942000 That's like saying that the new F-150 has the heart of a new Ford GT. Same engine, different application, different gearing, etc etc.

  • @sho942000 a DRIVING appliance factory?

  • That was interesting. Too bad gas prices are so high in Europe that nobody could even dream of driving a truck like that. Seems to be nice vehicles.

  • Leo, you should think about your shirts!

And, you should wear al belt!

    K.G.

  • Informative , Owner of 2009 F150 XLT...

  • Leo, (if you read this)

I used to be a huge fan of twit... but it seems that since I began listening you have transitioned your guests from mostly successful entrepreneurs (kevin rose, jason calicanis) to cynical bloggers. I don't even bother listening to a show if Baratunde is a guest. Please please have fewer cynical bloggers and more successful people that actually are in the tech industry.

  • @robertnorthtown Its a tech show, which means they have to cover lots of tech from cell phones to web apps. They do bring on entrepreneurs when the topic is relevent, but those "cynical" bloggers you hate are people who have been in this industry since its inception. They may come off as cynical because they have experience. I happen to love them and find them pretty entertaining commentators even if I dont agree with them all the time

  • To the camera operator: dude,... DUDE!!!!

  • Awsome I buying a FORD !

  • Wow, this was really interesting. I'm really impressed with Ford.

  • Really great vid. Looked like a lot of fun.

  • Screw Leo for buying a gas-guzzling Mustang. The more inefficient cars people buy, the more Detroit will make them. Do as Leo says, not as he does! What a hypocrite!

  • @BrowncoatJedi are you really that retarded?

  • @BrowncoatJedi

Ummmmm the new Mustang gets 31 MPG highway (even the GT 5.0 gets 27), that's equal to my 4-cylinder Chevy Cavalier. I'd hardly call that a guzzler, most import luxury cars get waaaay worse mileage than that.

  • This guy looks like pure corporate evil. 10:12 Great video otherwise.

  • my dad loves ford trucks,

  • Nice coverage leo love my Ford cars..... Awesome that we got great history in the car industry.

  • This man is socially awkward.

  • Good Video Leo. Shame you Yanks make such ugly and inefficient cars. Regards from the UK....................

  • @fuelblue29 I really don't wanna argue too much but Ford's cars have improved dramatically over the last couple of years.

  • @fuelblue29

Shame you Brits don't HAVE a domestically owned car brand that is affordable for the masses. Personally, with Fords newer models, I'd take them over a VW, Fiat, or Vauxhall anyday.

  • @alep85 :O You are forgetting the Morris Minor.

  • @drummerkid1993

No, I'm not forgetting them. They don't manufacture them anymore, so Britain has no value-priced domestically owned auto maker. I love Aston Martins, Bentleys, Jaguars, and Land Rovers, but I'd hardly call any of those a car for the masses.

  • @alep85 Jeez, I didn't think you's take that seriously XD I was having a little chuckle at myself.

  • @fuelblue29 LOL COMING FROM THE UK...

  • @fuelblue29 No doubt. If only I had the beauty know as the Rolls-Royce Phantom with a BMW sourced v12 or maybe a Range Rover Sport with a average 12 MPG (US) and its world-beating reliability... The UK is being trampled again by the Germans, let us know if you need any help...

  • @amitdas91 Unfortunately we surrendered our car-truck-motor bike and shipbuilding industries to the Japs and Germans a long time ago.

Pig headed management and unions let them in.

Ironic that the British Army saved the VW plant from destruction........look at them now.

    No way back!

  • Nice video Leo

  • Where is the 'Leo @ automatic parking fail' part...

  • @rwese In the sidebar :D >>>

  • @rwese In the Test Track video.

  • I live in Michigan near detroit, I live by so many intelligent people and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if in the future detroit is the new silicon valley, I've toured that plant multiple times and it is a great experience.

  • I love the amazing work space these employees get to work in. My expectations of the plant were not very high, although this visit changed my whole idea about how these plants are run. I would also like to congratulate you on your outstanding parking :)
