I loved when I talk to someone over the phone , who sounds as if I already know that person. She or he, sometimes passes the image they are right in front of you , not as a machine.
I didn't think much of this as I started to listen, but it is was good basic advise. The way you suggest using first name on the phone isn't correct though, you need to use first name and sure name when ever you introduce yourself on the phone or face to face
