With respect you have to remember that D W Griffith was an unashamed racist. If you watch `Birth of a Nation` you will see the `black` soldiers swaggering around are in fact `blacked up` white men. That film actually revived the almost dead KKK and it went from strength to strength until the 1960s

They left out the Tejanos , Mexican Americans, who were in the Alamo fighting along Travis for the Independence of Texas. Instead, they made it into a Racial war which it was not. Therefore Texas History books are a bunch of lies!

very good battle, but the movie hide the Houston resolute of don´t help the Alamo. It was a logic and hard, but is the true. But over all I´m angry about the scenes of woman´s deaths and specially of the child, are complety false and show the mexicans soldiers like monsters!

Interesting, if dated but the battle scenes are superb. Bowie with two bayonets stuck in him and a black face slave ! Surely a black extra could have been used or perhaps were not wanted.
