@TheWOParmy I had to do a lot of adjustments to make it somewhat satisfactory, I eventually sold it and got a '93 Carvin 5FL (5 string fretless). The difference was amazing.
The round wounds did chew it up pretty good. Eventually I put nylon coated round wounds. I sold this bass last year and now have a Carvin with the harder than nails epoxy finish, so rounds are no problem.
I'm glad to hear that. I don't understand why they put roundwounds on fretless basses in the first place... whatever. Enjoy music my friend! peace out
I alway put roundwouwds on my fretless.Flatwounds are dull and murky.I also treated my fingerboard with Tung oil which hardens it so that there is little wear.

whats the advantage of fretless over with frets?
MegaJaybee 2 years ago
cooler slides and cleaner notes + wider range of sounds
dudu1125 2 years ago
@MegaJaybee U have that so called 'growl' and if u play Funk or something then its very nice to have that sound.

Great looking bass, I would never put rounds on my fretless instrument. Halfs or ground wounds would be better. I use flats.

@MITCHWILD
Yeah I know what you mean. But you don't always need that "growl".
retardno002 1 year ago
you must play real hard on it for it to wear
out the fretboard. I had read this is a hard board.
