  • HAhahha sounds like you kicked a small dog. sounds sick though, keep up the work!

  • Cool GSX. By the way, is that Wayne Rooney driving it? For a second, the driver (you?) look like Rooney.

  • @yeyo661 lol no its not Wayne.

  • hey to where did u mount the fmic?? i cant figure out to mount on..

  • what brand is your front mount intercooler?

  • @MKIVtt3 The one shown is just an SSAC one, ive got a much better one to put on but I havent found the limit of this one yet.

  • i didnt read all ur comments but is that a tial Q?

  • Nope, its just a 50MM "old school" tial.

  • Nice job. I too have a 2.4 L auto GS Spyder and would like to convert to a manual AWD GSX tranny and drivetrain. And go with a stroked 2.3 L 4g63 engine and gt35r turbo.

But I am looking into another 5 speed Eclipse GS-T and figure to convert it to AWD with a 2.3 L and turbo and keep my other stock. Was it hard to do? Nice work and big ups man !! :)

I know when converting it there is some cutting involved to drop the subframe and some welding too which I am not experienced with.

  • If you are able to live without the drop-top on your "fast" car then go for it. Coupes are lighter and more rigid. If you buy another and want to convert it to awd, just buy an awd. Its not worth the work IMO for a car that you can just buy awd to start with.

  • thats a nice 32row fmic you got there man

  • Sounds good man, did that AWD swap right over? I wouldn't imagine you would have any problems with it.

  • There is some welding and fab work that has to be done but it would have been alot easier going from a 5spd GST Spyder to a 5spd GSX Spyder. Rather than a 2.4 NT auto to a 5spd GSX Spyder

  • it shouldnt have been too hard.. bolt patterns of the trannies are the same the chassis is the same and everything should have been marked for you.. in the 94-98 galants like my 96 we have the spots for the awd rear end already we just need a longer drive shaft.. everything else bolts right up

  • Never said it was hard, just a PITA to get to where you need to drop the bolts through with the way the spyder chassi is. Definitely not for the faint of heart, start cutting into the chassi for awd there's no going back.
